Good Morning!

I hope everyone is having a great week 🙂

Today I am back posting some beauty product reviews! All of these products are available at your local drugstore so they are all very budget friendly!

First up:

Crest 3D White Brilliance Whitening Toothpaste $6.99

One of the beauty questions I get asked the most is if I whiten my teeth. I haven’t in years, but what I do always use is whitening toothpaste. My usual go-to is Colgate Optic White, but I tried a mini tube of this Crest 3D White Brilliance toothpaste out recently and I noticed a difference right away. I think my teeth are a shade whiter and I found the mint flavor to be subtle, yet very refreshing!  A definite winner in the toothpaste department if you are looking to whiten while brushing!

Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser $4.49 for .67 oz. tube

I recently ran out of my Benefit POREfessional Primer which I typically use every day. Last week I was browsing Target.com during their Target Deals Days, which was basically their attempt to win some customers over from Amazon Prime Days. As I was browsing I noticed this Maybelline Primer on sale for $3.36. Regular price is $4.99 so not a huge savings, but every penny counts, right? I decided to try this primer out to see how it compares to the Benefit one which is much more expensive at $13.00 for mini tube of .25 oz.

I applied a dime size amount of this primer to my face before applying my foundation for several days. I wouldn’t say that this exactly erased my pores, but it did make them a bit less noticeable and it also smoothed out my skin which allowed for better foundation application. Unfortunately, I didn’t find this primer to really help with my oily T-zone. I still had to use an oil absorbing sheet to blot my face like how I do every day in the summer, so no change there. I do think this primer is a good substitute for the Benefit one if your main goal is looking for smooth skin coverage prior to applying foundation. The Benefit primer does a better job of actually blurring your pores, but for less than half the price (and for a larger sized tube) this is not a bad option and definitely worth trying!

Peach Slices Magic Panda Eye Mask $4.99

My favorite item from this group! This Magic Panda Eye Mask felt soooo refreshing to use! I’ve used a lot of eye mask products for moisturizing and helping to reduce dark circles and puffy eyes over the years, but this eye mask may just be my new favorite. Since it’s been so hot recently, this cooling mask felt particularly good around my eyes.  I literally plopped down, put this mask on and flipped on the Real Housewives. All I needed was a big bowl of popcorn and I would have been the happiest girl! Face masks and TV is my favorite hobby. 🙂

Anyway back to the product – I’ve yet to find any eye product that really makes a substantial difference in brightening my dark under eye circles, but this one made them look a touch lighter. This mask did add moisture to my under-eye area and provided a cool relaxing effect. I also liked how the mask wrapped around my eyes, not just under my eyes, as this made for a more substantial effect. The mask looks like a panda’s which is really just a fun take on a face mask! I highly recommend and would definitely repurchase!

Degree Spray-On UltraClear Deodorant $4.99

So it’s summertime and it’s super hot! I’ve used the same Dove deodorant for years, but it’s a traditional white stick that gets on my clothes all too frequently. I decided to try out a spray version this summer in hopes of avoiding any staining, which is precisely what this ultra clear deodorant advertises.

I had high hopes for this product, but sadly it did not live up to my expectations. Within a few hours of spraying I definitely needed to reapply, as the BO was coming on strong. I consider myself to be somewhat of a hotbox and at times sweaty for sure, so perhaps if you are not like me and only need deodorant sparingly then maybe this would work for you. The application process is great since it is just spray and won’t stain clothes, but it definitely didn’t keep me smelling fresh all day long.

Clean & Clear Deep Action Peel Off Face Mask With Charcoal $2.99

I love using face masks and the charcoal ones are probably my favorite because of how they really deep clean your skin. On a regular basis I use GlamGlow’s charcoal mask or Peter Thomas Roth’s (I think GlamGlow is better, though!).

On a recent trip to Walgreens, I was browsing the beauty aisle and was intrigued by how this peel-off version would work. The no-rinsing part really appealed to me because charcoal masks are messy and the fact that I would not have to dirty yet another towel sounded great!

The first thing I noticed when applying this mask was how much product there was in the pouch. There was enough product in the pouch to easily apply to two faces (slumber party, anyone?!) I slathered on as much product as possible and there was still plenty left.  When 20 minutes was up I was unsure where to start peeling from, but I opened my mouth and felt that the product had tightened up and started pulling from there. It all peeled off pretty easily and I loved not rinsing. My skin felt so clean and exfoliated after using this mask. I highly recommend!

Have a great day!
