Good Morning!

Today I am sharing a few beauty product and clothing reviews! I try out new items fairly often and thought it would be fun to share some  that I’ve been happy with and some that you should not waste your time or money trying!

So let’s get into it, shall we?!

  1. Clinique Hydrating Jelly $28

For many, many years I’ve used Clinique for my facial moisturizer. I use the regular or extra hydrating lotion in the winter and the gel in the summer. I was intrigued by their new hydrating jelly and purchased it when Clinique had a friends and family sale a month or two ago.

First, I found the bottle to be eye-appealing because the jelly is clear and the bottle is see-through. I also love that you can add a different cartridge to the jelly to make for a two-in-one solution. Clinique offers 5 different active cartridges to add to your moisturizer to attack problems such as wrinkles, fatigue, and irritation. You can add one of the cartridges to either their lotion, gel, or jelly. I picked the cartridge for reducing lines and wrinkles because I’m all about wrinkle prevention! (Who isn’t?)

It took me a couple of weeks to really get used to this product because it really is like jelly, in that my face literally felt sticky after applying. However, I did get used to this and because it isn’t that warm out yet, I started applying some gel lotion to my face after the jelly to cut down on the stickiness and add some extra moisture.

The best part of this product is that it is a cooling jelly, so I think during the summer this will be my go-to facial moisturizer. It’s worth a shot to try if you are a Clinique fan, but overall I don’t think I will repurchase the jelly and will stick to lotion and gel moisturizers.

  1. Urban Decay Half Baked Eye Shadow $20

I tried a bunch of new eye makeup when I recently ordered a Sephora Favorites Eye Candy Set. Initially I was a little bummed that there were only two eye shadows in the kit and this was the only powder one, but I really love it! It’s a light brown color with some shimmer in it that I think is universally flattering on almost all skin tones. It goes on fairly light so if you just want a little touch of color on your lids then this works perfectly. Or can you can really pile it on for more intense color and shimmer if that suits your mood! It’s definitely a great all-around color that I would highly recommend!

  1. Marc Jacobs Gel Eye Crayon Eyeliner $25

I really wanted to love this eyeliner. And I did upon initial application! The formula and color were great and glided quite easily onto my eyelids. However, a friend had messaged me when she saw I was trying it out and said that it ran on her and sadly, I have to agree. My eyes tend to be watery from wearing contacts and I’m often applying eye drops, so I need an eyeliner that can really withstand that and be super long lasting. This eyeliner wasn’t totally horrible with the running, but any running at all isn’t good and this was under my eyes when I wore it to work after about 5 hours. Therefore, I would not recommend this eyeliner!

  1. Pat McGrath Fetish Eyes Mascara $28

I ordered this during the last Sephora VIB Sale after Oprah Magazine had recommended it. Unfortunately, it did not live up to the hype. I think it’s a decent mascara with a flexible formula that is buildable, but applying a few coats lead to it being a bit clumpy. This lead to me having to comb my eyelashes out, which is a step that I don’t really want to bother with. Overall, I would say the formula is ok and it didn’t run on me, but due to how easily it clumps this is not a mascara I would recommend.

  1. Shein Leopard Tee  $9

For a $9 this tee gets an A++++!  It’s not see-through material, the print is cute, and it’s dirt cheap. I was unsure of sizing, but based off the reviews I went up a size which was definitely the right move. I got a medium and it fits, but a large would have also worked for a more casual, relaxed look. For the price, this is definitely a winner!

  1. Gap White Denim Jacket $69.95

This year I really needed a new white denim jacket. I’m still sad that I had to part with mine because it just really was not white anymore no matter how much I bleached it!

So I decided to order a replacement from Gap when they had super cash redemption. I had high hopes since the reviews were pretty good, but no, I was super disappointed in this item.

It’s realllyyyyyyyy lightweight!! I mean, I’m not sure it would keep me warm ever. I would probably only be useful as JUST as an outfit piece and not as a functional coat. In addition to it being too thin, the color was strange. It was white, but the seams of the jacket appeared to be a darker off-white color. I noticed it right when I opened the bag, but I also put the coat into direct sunlight to be sure and there was definitely a color contrast between the stitching and the rest of the jacket. The only positive I did find is that there is a decent amount of stretch, which is nice because no one likes an uncomfortable stiff jacket.

Due to the color variation and the lack of thick material, I promptly sent this jacket back. I would really only advise purchasing if you want a very thin denim jacket and are perhaps color blind and won’t notice the color differences!!

If you have a rec for white denim jacket let me know! My search continues…

  1. Bum Bum Cream $20 for a mini jar or $45 for standard size 8.1 oz jar

My most favorite new item! This cream smells heavenly and I think it works! I mean it’s not like I’m cellulite free over here, but I feel like I have seen an improvement! The price is also a lot cheaper than a lot of other creams that claim to do the same thing, and this stuff probably smells better!  I’ll definitely be repurchasing!

Let me know if you have tried any of the products that I reviewed and if you liked them or not!
