Today’s OOTD post features two of my favorite wardrobe staples for spring & summer weather: a simple shift dress and a cute pair of espadrille wedges. Both of these pieces are great because they can be either dressed up or down making them so versatile!
The shift dress that I’m wearing is by Topshop and is from the Nordstrom Anniversary sale a couple of years ago. (This year’s sale is only 2 months away!!) I especially love to wear this dress during this time of the year since it is getting warm out, but not too warm – the long sleeves come are perfect!

My shoes were a Mother’s Day gift to me from me!
They are by Marc Fisher and I had been eyeing them for the past two summers! I had a similar-looking, much cheaper pair that were really worn down that I had to throw away, so I finally decided to get these.
They are a bit more expensive than what I usually pay for summertime footwear. I definitely didn’t want to pay full price, but sadly I couldn’t find them on sale or cheaper anywhere! DSW offers a few other cheaper Marc Fisher styles, but I really liked this particular style and wedge height. I decided to order the grey color thinking that it is so neutral that it will go with most outfits and will get a lot of wear!
I ordered my usual size and one size smaller to be certain that I was wearing the best fit and I found them to run true to size. The suede material around the ankle and on the top of the shoe is so buttery soft! Both the suede and buckle seem to be better quality than most espadrilles that I’ve owned. Espadrilles traditionally have a thin sole so TBD on whether they are really worth the $150 and will last multiple summers, but I’m hopeful!
