Hi All!

Since we are still dealing with a lot of winter weather and cold temperatures, today I am sharing my favorite facial moisturizers. I have combination skin in that it can be super dry but also super oily, so it is sometimes tricky for me to find the right moisturizer that soothes my dryness, but doesn’t leave me looking like an oil rig! Below are the details on my top picks that have worked for me! If you also suffer from dry skin or just want to try out some new moisturizer, then I think that you really can’t go wrong with any of these products!

1 Drunk Elephant Lala Retro Whipped Cream $60.00 for 1.69 oz.

I ordered this Drunk Elephant travel set for myself around Christmastime when Sephora was having their VIB sale. I had read a bunch of great reviews and wanted to try out some of their products, so this seemed like the perfect opportunity! A small jar of this whipped cream moisturizer was in it and I quickly used it all! I loved how this product felt – it had an almost clay-like texture to it that I really liked and felt helped to moisturize my face. I wanted to repurchase it, but I have so many other moisturizers that I haven’t yet. If you are looking to try out their products, I would definitely recommend this cream.

2. Lancôme Absolue Premium BX Day Cream $175.00 for 1.7 oz.

This one is a bit pricey, but I usually love all Lancôme creams and this one is no exception! I actually got a .5 oz. jar of this day cream from a gift set and got hooked on it. One thing that I really love about a lot of Lancôme moisturizers is that they contain sunscreen. It’s only SPF 15, but that’s better than nothing which is what most of my other ones have. In addition to the SPF, this cream goes on silky smooth and melts into your skin like butter! I would say that overall I don’t find it to be the very best for really dry skin and I sometimes have to use it with another more deeply hydrating moisturizer.

3. Clinique Moisture Surge Intense $39.00 for 1.7 oz.

I would say that out of all the moisturizers I’ve listed, this product is the best in terms of value and results. I find this cream to be super moisturizing and I only use it once a day in the morning and do not need to reapply. I purchased the 1.7 oz. jar back in November and I still have some left to get me through most of the remaining cold weather season. I never have flaky skin and I attribute it mostly to the use of this moisturizer which I use on the coldest of days. The only thing that I dislike about this product is the scent. It almost has a faint hint of nail polish remover and I mean no one really wants to slather that all over their face! I’ve gotten used to it and I think that the product works so well that I overlook the slightly unpleasant smell!

4. Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+ $28.00 for 4.2 oz.

I think this lotion is pretty well known as being a great product and always seems to be a best seller for Clinique. I use this in the fall & spring and save the Clinique Moisture Surge Intense for the really cold winter days. This lotion is excellent if your skin is normal to dry and you don’t typically need anything super strong to combat dryness.

5. Clinique Pep-Start HydroBlur Moisturizer $29.50 for 1.7 oz.

I actually use this moisturizer as a second layer over my first lotion, which would be any of the other products listed. Lately, I’ve been using the Clinique Moisture Surge Intense as my first layer since it has been so cold! The Pep-Start moisturizer is great because it really does smooth your skin texture and blur your pores. It is definitely a good primer product before applying foundation.

6. Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream $30.00 for 1.7 oz.

I ran out of this product this winter and was a little sad to not have it in my lotion collection! I definitely have enough moisturizers that I didn’t need to purchase another jar, but I really looooove this cream. It is very hydrating and it has zero smell or girly looking labeling so it’s perfect for men, too!

7. Lancôme Rénergie Lift Multi-Action Day Cream $99.00 for 1.7 oz.

I would just like to say that this product smells heavenly. It smells like a day at the spa and has the most pleasant, fragrant aroma! It’s also extremely hydrating and at the same time helps with fine line, wrinkles, and all of those other unpleasantries that come with aging! I try to make this product last (since it is expensive) and I usually only use it on mornings were I feel like I look extra old (which is probably 2-3x a week!) It also has SPF 15 in it to help prevent sun damage.

That’s it for my winter face lotion collection! Let me know if you also use any of these products. Clinique recently came out with a new moisturizer where you can add in a cartridge concentrate to your regular lotion to create a two in one product of fighting wrinkles and moisturizing. The price is reasonable at $39, so I may try that out sometime soon! I’ve also got my eye on this new cream from Tatcha! If you have any moisturizer recommendations for me I would love to hear them in the comments!
