Good Morning!

I know we are really in the thick of the summer these days and I’m happy about that, but today I am talking a little bit about Fall footwear!

While the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is still going on through Sunday, it is definitely winding down or at least the hype over it is! The best part is that most of my online orders have arrived! So today I am reviewing four different shoes that I ordered or tried during the Nordstrom Anniversary sale.

Unfortunately, some of these shoes are sold out currently on the Nordstrom website or are in stock in very limited sizes, but if you keep checking back (especially after the sale) the inventory will keep increasing as returns are received and a lot of times these same shoes go back on sale during the Fall season. Also, you might be able to find these shoes at other retailers! I found the sneakers at multiple websites in stock and I am sharing those links below!

First up are the Women’s Vince Camuto Nestel Knee High Boot

These were on sale for $159.90 from $239.95 and I really, really wanted these boots to work on me! I found them online the first day of the sale and thought that they looked gorgeous and would be the perfect tall boot for the chiller months. I tried to find them in-store on the second day of the sale, but they did not carry them so I ordered off online in a 1/2 size up based on Nordstrom’s fit tip and anxiously awaited their arrival.

They FINALLY arrived almost 2 weeks after ordering which has to be up there with one of the most obnoxious parts of the sale – how long the free shipping takes!! Anyway, they finally arrived and I quickly unboxed to try on.

I am happy to report that these boots are just as gorgeous as pictured online! They are beautiful light taupe color and the faux suede looks and feels like the real deal. The heel height is on the lower end (2.5 inches) making these a breeze to walk in and the fit tip was correct to go up a 1/2 a size as the fit in my toe box was perfect!

I really loved everything about these boots except for the height of the boot shaft. I’m 5’5″ and these hit not really above my knee, but a little above the middle part of my knee cap. It’s just such an awkward spot for a boot to hit! I tried them on with different pants and a variety of skirts and I could not get these boots to look right. Additionally, one boot slightly slouched more than the other making the weird knee spot look even stranger! They hit on such a weird part of my knee that even walking in them felt odd.

Hitting at a weird knee spot.

So ultimately, I decided to send them back and I will continue on my search for the perfect Fall boot. However, I think if you are either shorter or taller than 5’5″ that these could work for you – they would just either be over-the-knee boots or below-the-knee boots and would probably look great! They are also available in black and snakeskin!

Women’s Sperry Saltwater Waterproof Rain Boot

Next, I decided to order a winter boot for those snowy days when you just wanna throw on the easiest thing! These Sperry Saltwater Waterproof Rain Boots (on sale for $79.90 from $119.95) caught my eye and I loved the fact that they are a slip-on winter boot. They only come in whole sizes so I ordered the 8 and a 9 to be sure of a correct fit.

They arrived and I tried on both pairs and kept the size 8. Even with a pretty thick sock the 8 still fit and was not too tight. So definitely go down a size if you are in between sizes with these. I ordered the black color just to have a pair of black boots that are go with everything in the winter. They are a traditional tall Sperry winter boot with rubber soles and a cloth-like material on the upper part of the boot for some added warmth. The interior of the boot is fleece lined making it extra cozy! I would definitely recommend these!! They are also available in grey, ivory rose, and navy/tan as shown below!

Adidas Edge Lux 3 Running Shoe

I’ve been looking for a new workout sneaker for a while and thought that these Adidas sneakers (on sale for $63 from $85) looked really stylish. I bought them in store and went up half a size, which is what I typically do with all workout sneakers. These are super comfortable with a supportive, cushy sole and I really loved the gold detail on them. The laces are my favorite part – they have a ribbon-esque look and feel that give the sneaker a welcome added touch of femininity! These are currently sold out on the Nordstrom website, but they are available at Dick’s, Zappos , & Macy’s!

Steve Madden Rockstar Genuine Calf Hair Bootie

Y’all know how much I love leopard, but I wasn’t totally sure about how I would feel about leopard print booties. However, since Nordstrom offers free shipping and free returns, it’s always a good opportunity to try on items and feel totally fine about them not working out and send back, so I ordered these!

I ordered my usual size 8.5 and found these booties to fit true to size. It doesn’t bother me, but it might bother some others that they are the type of bootie that you can really only wear with a very thin no-show sock because there are deep side slits. The heel height is 3.5 inches but since it is a stacked heel these are really easy to walk in! They are so cute and I didn’t think that I would like them as much as I did.

It’s definitely a trendy boot, but it’s a wearable trend and just something fun to wear besides your usual black and brown boots. At $87 on sale (and even regular price isn’t too bad at $120,) these boots are not going to last forever. They are hair-on and as with an item that is hair-on, the hair falls off from rubbing up against anything and that’s bound to happen – but at this price point, I think these are a great fall bootie and definitely recommend! They also come in black and snakeskin!

Who else is excited for Fall footwear?!

Have a great day!
