Happy Monday! Back to the grind…but at least it’s a short week with Turkey Day in between! 🙂
Today I’m sharing an athleisure look which I love because it takes me back a bit to my tween days when I was somewhat of a tomboy! ♥ Sporty Spice was my favorite. I really appreciated her aesthetic of swishy pants, crop tops, and high ponytails. I also loved that she rocked a gold tooth! Not many can pull that look off.
So, I wore this look over the weekend to run a few errands and then I just took off the hat, brushed my hair, and went out to dinner! I also feel like I look like I could hit the slopes in this ensemble. Or, most likely in my case, walk to the lodge to get some hot cocoa. 😉
Details:
Jacket / Vest / Jeggings / Boots / Hat
Regarding the black jeggings, I did link the ones that I am wearing but I don’t looooove them. I accidentally ordered the wrong pair recently. These are fine, but they are just more of a legging than a jean. I put them on and realized the material felt thinner than my older pairs of rockstar leggings from Old Navy. I checked the material contents tag and sure enough, the new ones I ordered have a much higher polyester content making them feel more like leggings. In general I prefer these because I have tons of leggings and these feel and look more like a jean but with an elastic waistband. Old Navy best be getting these restocked by Friday or Cyber Monday because I need a new pair!
The jacket and vest both run true to size. I stuck with my usual size because I knew I would wear them together and wanted a more fitted look. If you were planning on wearing more than a thin sweater under the jacket or vest, then I would order one size up.
I spoke about my boots during my Hunter boots review and I’ve worn these several times since for long periods of time and I’m still really happy with my purchase! They are so comfortable and lightweight. The only downfall is that they aren’t insulated at all, but if I wear thick socks then I can wear them in icky New England weather. They definitely aren’t snow boots but they still work in some light slush, frozen mix nastiness that we encounter regularly this time of the year.
I’m always on the hunt for a cute baseball cap and the one I’m wearing has such a classic plaid print and works perfectly with this outfit and would definitely work with a casual outfit as well. It’s $24.95 regularly priced but Gap is already running an early Black Friday sale of either 50% – 40% off depending on if you have a card which really makes this such a great deal!
Hope everyone has a great day! Let me know if you have any questions in the comments. I’m working on a couple of gift guides since Christmas is coming so soon and a mens gift guide will be up later this week so be sure to check back!
