Hello All!
Today for my Friday Finds, I’m sharing some items that I recently purchased from H&M.
H&M has been one of my favorite stores ever since they arrived in the US back when I was in high school. They offer sooooo many different types of clothing – from casual, to work attire, to clubbing clothes (not like I need those these days, but it’s there!) I think they offer a great mix of trendy pieces and classic pieces and because of that, they are one store that I always frequent.
I started looking through their Fall collection weeks ago and fell in love with so many pieces. I placed an online order during Labor Day weekend because they were offering 30% off and free shipping! If you need to return anything from your online order, you can either ship it back (but they deducted a shipping label charge of something, say, $7) OR you can return in-store for free. This is what I always do because I don’t want to pay $7 and because their return window is kind of short. However, this usually ends up worse for me because I ALWAYS find something else to buy in store, thus negating any returns. But, such is life!
Anyway! Onto what I purchased:
Dark Grey/Black Checked Blazer
$49
This blazer is awesome! I frequently go to H&M for new blazers or jackets and I am almost never disappointed. I’m not quite sure that it’s worth $50 though – I was able to snag it for 30% off and they are running a sale currently, so it’s definitely worth it if you can get it at a discount! The fit is longer and slightly oversized – I would say that if you want it to look exactly like it does on the model, then go up a size. I ordered my regular size and found it to fit TTS.
Plaid Jacquard Sweater
$29.99
It’s always nice to freshen up your Fall wardrobe with a couple of new sweaters. I picked up this one in plaid, but it also comes in leopard and zebra print! It’s on trend with a little bit of a loose, cropped style that looks perfect with high waisted jeans.
Richard Allan x H&M A-Line Dress
$24.99
For Fall, H&M has collaborated with British designer Richard Allan. Some of the collection is a bit too funky for me, but I really loved the pattern on this flowy dress. And for under $25, this is the perfect Fall dress to throw on and head off to work. AND since it’s loose you don’t even have to worry about eating too much at lunch and getting a food belly!
Chunky Knit Cardigan
$69.99
This is currently sold out online, but I did see it in store just last week! This chunky cardigan is made of wool, so it’s super warm. I think some people may find it itchy, but wool doesn’t typically bother me and I would most likely wear this with a long sleeved shirt underneath.
I really love this cardigan because it really reminds me of 80s fashion! The color is brighter in person, the buttons are kind of large, and it features balloon sleeves. In other words, it’s great!!
Snakeskin Trim Sneakers
$29.99
Snakeskin print is so trendy for fall and I love that these sneakers sport just enough of it. A whole snakeskin print sneaker would be a little too much for me! I found these to run TTS and really love them! I wore no-show socks and put blister block on the back of my foot and I’ve had no issues breaking these in.
Camo Print Knit Sweater
$19.99
This is such a great sweater for under $20! It’s really soft and it comes in a bunch of other prints, including leopard! It is more of a cropped fit so I would recommend going up a size if you are not into the cropped style. I wore this the other day to work and got several compliments!
And there were some misses – things that I did not love and ended up returning. They are:
Tote Bag
$24.99
I can’t speak for the other colors, but I ordered the brown and was disappointed. Faux leather can be done well, but this was one case where it was not. It looked soooo cheap and clearly fake leather. I got it for $18 and it wasn’t even worth that!
Houndstooth Boat-Neck Dress
$34.99
Houndstooth is one of my favorite wintertime prints so I scooped up this dress. I ordered my usual size, but I could barely get this on – so it runs small. On top of that, I didn’t find the pattern to be very flattering. It may work for you, though – a few sizes are still in stock online and I saw it in store as well!
Satin Cami
$24.99
Last year I bought a couple of these camisoles and wore them all the time. I purchased this burgundy colored one for Fall, but I found it ran big and it didn’t come with adjustable straps, which last year’s version had – so I returned it. Adjustable straps might not matter if you have bigger boobs – but I always need adjustable straps! I returned this, but I would say order a size down if you want to try it.
That’s it for my Friday Finds! Have you been shopping for the cooler temps? I’ve been going through my winter stuff and just adding a few new pieces!
I hope everyone has a great weekend & I’ll be back with a new playlist on Monday!
xo
