Whoot Whoot – It’s Friday!!!
I hope everyone has had a great work week so far and now it’s almost the weekend!
Today I want to discuss the importance of festive outfits. Lately, I’ve been trying to wear all of my clothes that scream holiday in order to get the most use out of them. This means I am either wearing red, green, some plaid print, something sparkly, or a combination of them all! I’ve especially been applying this to my work wardrobe and literally everyday I hear a comment of how “festive” I look which I totally love since that is the whole look I’m going for! I don’t think there is a limit during the holidays of how much plaid or sequins someone should wear. Pile it on and do whatever you want!
I snapped up this J.Crew sweater blazer on Cyber Monday because I felt like I could use some more red in my wardrobe. I already owned this in black and knew I loved the style. It’s perfect for everyday, casual style and it’s also great to throw on for work. It’s really a wardrobe staple! I finally received this the other day and I was surprised by how much I really loved the color. The red is such a bright, vibrant shade that really says “holiday!” And it’s now on sale for 40% off! They also offer it in five other colors.
For this outfit, I paired the sweater blazer with boyfriend style lighter washed jeans to make the blazer take on a more relaxed look. The gold sequin heels kick it up a little notch for a fun, casual party look.

The black top I’m wearing is currently 50% off, making it only $34! The material is substantial and I love the wrap style as it’s super flattering. If you read the reviews a lot of them advise you to go up a size. I would only advise that if you are big busted. Since I’m not, my usual size fit fine.
I’ve linked similar items for anything that is either sold out or that I’ve had for a couple of years. For example, my shoes are from Nine West and they are 5 years old! Since I only wear them around the holidays they are still in such great shape!
The sweater blazer looks a little more polished and dressy when paired with skinny black jeans and sparkle backed heels!

I got this Tory Burch watch last year and I love it because you can change up the color ring around the watch face. So lately I’ve been wearing the green one for an extra festive touch! This year’s version is here and I love that they added a red ring!
