Good Morning All!

I hope everyone is having a good week so far!

Today I am talking all about closet organization! I’m sharing some pictures of my closet and I’m listing four simple ways to help you make your closet space more efficient, no matter how small it is!

I’m super into my closet and I’m all for finding new ways to organize my clothing. I’m also all about saving time and making it easier to find what I want to wear quickly! Over the years, I’ve found a few methods that have helped and have also made my closet space more visually appealing! I have outlined four of them below:

Hi All!

I hope everyone had a nice Easter!

I’m back resuming my 2000s playlists and today I am sharing some of my favorite songs from 2001! I loved 2001 and there were tons of good songs from this year. I’ve narrowed it down to 15 for this week’s playlist. I did a mix of some songs that everyone knows and also added in some that are maybe lesser known or slightly forgotten about as well!

Week 14: 2001 Favorites

1. Love Don’t Cost a Thing – Jennifer Lopez

2. Gone – ‘NSYNC

3. I’m a Thug – Trick Daddy

4. U Don’t Have to Call – Usher

5. I Need a Girl (Pt. One) – Diddy, Usher, Loon

6. That’s Where You Take Me – Britney Spears

7. Fat Lip – Sum 41

8. Underneath Your Clothes – Shakira

9. Get Ur Freak On – Missy Elliott

(Why can’t I find the Nelly Furtado remix version anywhere?!?!? It’s so much better than the original!)

10. All You Wanted – Michelle Branch

11. Uh Huh – B2K

12. Dangerously In Love – Destiny’s Child

13. He Loves You Not – Dream

14. Caramel – City High

15. Welcome to Atlanta – Jermaine Dupri ft. Ludacris

Ending it with a banger! Welcome to Atlanta is the best!

I hope everyone has a great day!

Hi All!

So it’s Sunday night and I wanted to put up a playlist for the week ahead. Last week I posted a y2k playlist, which consisted of all songs from the year 2000. I am going to keep plugging through the early 2000s, but for this week I decided to switch it up and post a random shuffle mix from my old iPod. And whoa, what a mishmash of random songs it is on here! So without further ado…

Week 13 Playlist: iPod Shuffle Vol. 2

1 Rock Your Body – Justin Timberlake – I feel like I’m totally in the minority saying this as I know most women really love JT, but sometime after 2004 – I just wasn’t that into him anymore. I think it’s because I initially fell in love with him when I was about 10 watching the Mickey Mouse Club. Then I was still really in love when he was in *NSYNC, but after they broke up and he went solo, the love just faded. He still has had some really great songs though, like this one!

2. The Power of Love – Huey Lewis & The News – My mom totally loved Huey Lewis and got me into this song.

3. Drift Away – Uncle Kracker  – ok I really love this song and I feel kind of embarrassed to say that, but I think it’s good! You go, Uncle Kracker.

4. Hot In Herre – Nelly – Takes me back to high school so bad! I still love Nelly just as much as I did when I was 16.

5. Man in the Mirror – Michael Jackson – So I haven’t watched the latest controversial Michael Jackson documentary and I don’t know if I will. Is it totally awful if I say that I don’t want to because I don’t want it to ruin all of his songs for me?!

6. I Still Believe – Mariah Carey – Nothing really to say besides that this is another good song by the queen.

7. Fly Over States – Jason Aldean – I’m not a huge country music fan. I personally find most of it too hokey and not relatable, but this song is probably my favorite country song. I love the lyrics about midwestern America.

8. I Wish It Would Rain Down – Phil Collins – Great 80s classic.

9. Foolish – Ashanti – OMG this song was the jam back in 2002! ♥ This was every girl’s song to every guy who wronged her.

10. Can’t Get Away – Third Eye Blind – Ok, to be totally honest I think this song is only even in my iTunes library because I had a boyfriend 8000 years ago who loved them and he must have downloaded the CD onto my computer and now it’s forever there. However, this song is quite catchy and since I like 3eb, I just left it! Side note: I don’t know about anyone else, but I’ve tried to delete songs out of my iTunes and they don’t move. I’m just stuck with songs that I don’t even like that much! Plz help.

11. Sailing – *NSYNC – I like this song because I find it so relaxing and I just wanna go on a boat somewhere (even though I usually get seasick.) Also, it makes me think of my two best friends who sailed for a bunch of years when we were growing up. I told one of them once how much I liked this song and how it made me think of her and she goes “Oh What? I HATE that song.” lol oo ok thanx

12. Doing Too Much – Paula DeAnda – Paula DeAnda was one of my favorite artists back in 2007. She had a few songs out all around the same time and I thought they were all GREAT. And then I feel like she disappeared from the music scene…

That’s all for today & my random mix, I hope you have a good day!

Good Morning!

For this week’s playlist I am going back to the 00s, beginning with 2000, and sharing some of my favorites from that year! At first, I actually had a hard time thinking of songs that were popular in that year. I was going through my iTunes library and nothing was really jumping out at me. I finally looked through Nelly’s songs and realized Country Grammar came out that year and then from there more songs started flooding back into my mind! Eventually, I came up with 13 songs for this week’s playlist that I think are a great representation of music from that year.

I hope you enjoy & have as good of a Monday as it can get! 😉

Week 12 Playlist: What Up 2000

1. So Fresh, So Clean – OutKast

2. Forgot About Dre – Dr. Dre & Eminem

3. Country Grammar – Nelly

4. Lucky – Britney Spears

5. It’s Gonna Be Me – *NSYNC

6. The Way I Am – Eminem

7. Stutter (Remix) – Joe & Mystikal

8. Angel – Shaggy

9. No More (Baby I’ma Do Right) – 3LW

10. Fill Me In – Craig David

11. Thong Song – Sisqo

12. You Make Me Sick – P!nk

13. Who Let The Dogs Out – Baha Men

Good Morning!!

First, I didn’t do a full playlist post this week because I decided to take a little break on the music before diving into the 2000s. I did change the side weekly playlist widget to all Post Malone though, because I love him and think that he and all of his songs are great! One of his latest releases is from the most recent Spiderman movie and like all the rest of his songs, it is soooo catchy! It’s called “Sunflower” and it’s the first song on my weekly playlist. Take a listen if you haven’t heard it before!

So moving on – today I wanted to blog about one of my most recent purchases! They are the limited edition Dunkin’ sneakers from Saucony and I am loving them!!

Good Morning!

I have NO idea how 1999 was twenty years ago?! This is crazy.

I am back on this Monday morning with some of my favorites from 1999. I remember this year very well especially that everyone was freaking out about 2000 approaching and what would happen to the world’s computers. lol The y2k craze was real.

When I was creating this playlist I totally got sucked back into Britney Spears first album “…Baby One More Time” and I have not stopped listening to it! Such bubble gum, pop music greatness – I mean she even had a song called “E-Mail My Heart” – could that be anymore 1999?!

This year had tons of great songs and below are a few of my favorites! These will definitely take you back…

Week 11 Playlist: 1999 Faves

1. Love You Down – INOJ

2. Sometimes – Britney Spears

3. What’s My Age Again? – blink-182

4. She’s so High – Tal Bachman

5. Iris – The Goo Goo Dolls

6. Scar Tissue – Red Hot Chili Peppers

7. Mambo No. 5 – Lou Bega

8. Lullaby – Shawn Mullins

9. Where My Girls At – 702

10. What’s It Gonna Be? – Busta Rhymes & Janet Jackson

11. Unpretty – TLC

12. Believe – Cher

13. I Want It That Way – Backstreet Boys

I had to end it with BSB’s most played song ever!

You can find all of my Spotify playlists here.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good Morning!!

I took a few days off from blogging because I have had an awful cold. I think the worst of it is behind me, but it really wore me out! This will probably be a light week of blog posts because I typically do a lot of blog research and work over the weekend and this past weekend I was pretty much in bed or up blowing my nose and coughing!

Since I am feeling a little better, I decided to post a springtime playlist. I knew I wanted to celebrate the beginning of spring, but the question was how? I first started thinking of songs about the sun and other springtime ideas like feeling free, but there wasn’t a huge selection. So I added in a few other songs that I just love and make me and I think(?) the vast majority of others happy!

I did the song order mostly from newest to oldest released. There are a few really old gems in here! Hope you enjoy!

Week 10 Playlist: Spring Fever

1. Still Fly – Big Tymers

One of the best songs ever!

2. Sunshine – Lil’ Flip & Lea

This song was the jam in 2004!

3. Break the Ice – Britney Spears

In this playlist, I’m using this song as literally breaking down ice that’s still on the ground melting!

4. Suga Suga – Baby Bash & Frankie J

Just love this one, always.

5. Perfect Day – Hoku

It’s from Legally Blonde and I dare you to tell me that it doesn’t give you more pep in your step and make you feel that you can’t take on anything!

6. Butterfly – Crazy Town

One of my favorites and fits in perfectly with the spring theme!

7. Walkin’ On The Sun – Smash Mouth

I was literally soooo sick of this song for probably 15 years, because I felt like it was so played out. But in the past few years I have warmed back up to it.

8. Spring Love – Stevie B

Stevie B with the classic 80s dance hit crooning about springtime love.

9. Time of Our Lives – Pitfall & Ne-Yo

This might be my favorite Pitbull song and I actually love when he says in this song “But every day above ground is a good one, remember that.” I’m like “WOW, here’s Pitbull with some sound advice!” WHO KNEW?!

10. It Was A Good Day – Ice Cube

Classic song and every sunny day is a good day!

11. Blame It on the Rain – Milli Vanilli

Perfect excuse for this time of the year!! 🙂

12. It’s A Sunshine Day – The Brady Bunch

I’m a huge Brady Bunch fan and have probably seen every episode of the show and have seen most of the movies! One of my best friends in 7th grade had this CD and we would jump on her trampoline listening to it after school so this song brings back nothing but good, carefree memories!

13. Here Comes the Sun – The Beatles

Classic.

All of my other playlists are here.

Hope everyone is doing well and staying healthy!

Good Morning Love Bugs!

I’m back today with a new playlist for the week! Since I can’t get enough of it,  I’m keeping with my 90s theme and I’m bringing you The Best of 1998! There were soooo many good songs back in ’98 – it was really was such a great year musically! I had a very hard time narrowing down my song selection and I ended up with 14 songs.

As always, you can find all of my playlists on Spotify by simply clicking here!

Week 9 Playlist: The Best of 1998

1 The Boy Is Mine – Brandy & Monica

Classic!! How could we even talk about late 90s music without talking about this gem?! I must have watched this music video with Mekhi Phifer 8,000 times. And for the record, I prefer Monica but also love Brandy’s music – just think Monica was a bit more talented vocally!! How about you?

2. Still Not A Player – Big Pun feat. Joe

Always good and never tire of this song!

3. Are You Jimmy Ray? – Jimmy Ray

One of the best 90s one hit wonders.

4. What You Want – Mase feat. Total

Before Mase went on to be a minister he had a couple of really good songs, including this one!

5. Ray of Light – Madonna

I love Madonna and all but I can’t with the recent pics of her and her booty implants or injections. I mean c’mon already and just age a smidge! It’s ok!!

Ray of Light I looooove especially when she says something about zephyr in the sky – I can remember being like “what is a zephyr?” and getting out my dictionary to look it up! lol Kids these days don’t know how good they have it using google for everything! I had to literally pick up a heavy book and thumb through pages!!

6. Make ‘Em Say Uhh – Master P, Fiend, Silkk the Shocker, Mia X, Mystikal

Ok, the beginning of this song is hilarious and honestly, the fact that someone was even like let’s make up a song and call it “make ’em say uhh” and that people were really on board with it, is an accomplishment in itself. And honestly this song is GREAT. So catchy that it’s always on my workout mixes.

7. Pretty Fly (For a White Guy) – The Offspring

This song was everywhere in ’98! I never liked it that much, but I feel it’s too classic to be off this playlist!

8. How Deep Is Your Love – Dru Hill

This was the first song that made me like Sisqó and think that he was really talented. Of course he went on to really blowup once he left Dru Hill, but this is a classic 90s R&B hit.

9. You Get What You Give – New Radicals

Loved this song and was always kind of sad that it was this band’s only hit!

10. Daydreamin’ – Tatyana Ali, Lord Tariq, & Peter Gunz

I was sooooo excited when this song came out because the episode of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air when Ashley gets a recording contract and sings “Make Up Your Mind” is probably my most favorite episode ever! I was so happy when she came out with this fun, bubble gummy pop song! My best friend in 8th grade had her CD and we listened to this song way too much!

11. Doo Wop (That Thing) – Lauryn Hill

Great, catchy song with a timeless message.

12. Money Ain’t a Thang – Jermaine Dupri & Jay-Z

“Y’all wanna floss with us?” is one of my most fav song lyrics.

13. Take Me There – Backstreet, Mya, Mase, Blinky Blink

I never saw The Rugrats Movie but this song was so good and so popular!

14. Ghetto Superstar (That is What You Are) – Pras, ODB, Mya

Ending the playlist on a high note with one of the best collaborations of the 90s!

Which song is your fav?! So hard to pick just one!

Hope you have as good of a Monday as it can get 😉

Hi All!

So we’re back to work and for this week’s playlist I decided to go back and finish up my 1990s playlists. I was planning on doing a late 90s hits playlist, but there were so many good late 90s songs that I had to break it up by year!

So today I am starting with 1997, which was the year that I graduated from elementary school! Looking back, I feel like I was a very young 11 or 12-year-old. I was into tons of school activities – I was a cheerleader, played the clarinet, played volleyball, and was a girl scout! I actually won a badge that year for selling the most cookies in my troop – (to be honest, I was a little chunky back then so I’m sure I polished off at least 4 boxes all by myself! lol) My friends and I were still into Disney characters like Winnie the Pooh and AOL was pretty new, but I was already hooked on it! It was a fun year and these songs were some of the best! I hope it takes you back to a simpler time.

Side Note: There are some real good slow songs on here – All Cried Out is one of the best songs ever to belt out in the car – they sang that song with so much passion!!

Week 8 Playlist: The Best of 1997

1. Show Me Love – Robyn

2. How’s It Going to Be – Third Eye Blind

3. Bitter Sweet Symphony – The Verve

4. Where’s The Love – Hanson

5. Together Again – Janet Jackson

6. Barbie Girl – Aqua

7. Kiss the Rain – Billie Myers

8. Where Have All the Cowboys Gone? – Paula Cole

9. I’ll Be – Edwin McCain

10. All Cried Out – Allure & 112

11. Honey – Mariah Carey

12. Fly – Sugar Ray

13. Can’t Nobody Hold Me Down – Diddy, The Family, & Mase

Hope your Monday goes well!

Good Morning All!

Ok, well it’s back to work and Monday, but the good news is that this week’s playlist was inspired by all of the Ja Rule memes that I keep seeing on Instagram! It’s memes that use a tweet that Ja Rule wrote in light of all of the accusations and fallout from the Frye Festival documentaries. I think if you read any news or are on social media even a little bit, then you probably know what I am referring to. For those of you that don’t – here’s the tweet:

Of course this tweet quickly became a meme and there are have been tons! You can even read up on the best of them here and here!

The memes have been cracking me up for a couple of weeks. It hasn’t made me want to watch the documentaries necessarily, but it has made me want to go back to 2002 and listen to all Ja Rule songs! Which is why this week’s playlist is chock full of good old Ja Rule! Who even knew that Ja Rule had or was featured on 12 songs that were so popular and mainstream?! I never even realized that he had so many hits, but every song is so good on this playlist!

Week 7 2019 Playlist – Ja Rule Was Bamboozled

1. Put It On Me – Ft. Vita, Lil’Mo

2. Holla Holla

3. Between Me & You – Ft. Christina Milian

4. Always on Time – Ft. Ashanti

5. Down A** B**ch – Ft. Chuck

6. Down 4 U – Ft. Charli Baltimore, Vita, Ashanti

7. I’m Real – Murder Remix – Ft. Jennifer Lopez

8. Mesmerize – Ft. Ashanti

9. Ain’t It Funny – Murder Remix – Ft. Jennifer Lopez

10. Livin’ It Up – Ft. Case

11. What’s Luv? – Fat Joe, Ashanti

12. Rainy Dayz – Mary J. Blige

If this playlist doesn’t make your Monday better, then I don’t know what will?! A little Ja Rule should boost anyone’s spirits! I’ll just be over here working & dancing…

P.S. The good times just keep rollin’ for Ja these days! He might wanna lay off the tweeting…
