Ta Daaaa – modeling a few fall foods!

Good Morning! ☀️

Now that we are in the thick of the Fall season, today I’m sharing my latest food reviews and they are all Fall themed! – More specifically, pumpkin🎃 spiced themed since that really is the biggest fall flavor.

If you are anything like me, then you love most everything that the autumn season has to offer, and that definitely includes all of the limited time fall foods! You can find me happily munching on candy apples, candy corn, and most pumpkin spiced flavored foods all season long.

Every year I’m soo excited to see all of the new pumpkin flavored foods in stores, so today I’m posting and reviewing what I’ve tried this season. We’ll review what’s good, what could be better, what you need to try before we move along into the holiday🎄 food season!

So let’s get into it!

Mother’s Farms Pumpkin Seed Tortilla Chips

First up, are these pumpkin seed tortilla chips that I found over at the good old New England bargain discount store: The Christmas Tree Shop

I wasn’t sure if I would really like these, because as much as I do like pumpkin spice flavor – pumpkin as a chip flavor sounded a bit odd. But I did really looove these chips and I think you will too!

These pumpkin chips were super enjoyable. They are light, crunchy tortilla chips made from pumpkin and pumpkin seeds. The flavor is lightly pumpkin spiced with a clear scent of cinnamon that is instantly recognizable upon opening the bag. There are also small amounts of honey and nutmeg in the ingredients list and these flavors helped to enhance the overall flavor of these chips.

up close & personal

I loved these chips on their own and with salsa & guac. They are a definite fall delight and would elevate your nachos this season!

delicious!

Archer Farms Maple Truffle Butter Cookies

Next up are these seasonal cookies from Target’s Archer Farms Brand

These cookies feature a buttery shortbread cookie with a maple caramel filling topped with a chocolate truffle coating. The maple flavor is subtle and just enriches the whole cookie without being too overpowering.

I really wasn’t expecting to like these cookies as much as I did! These scrumptious cookies are the perfect treat on a cool night and would pair well with a delicious alcoholic coffee drink. A definite must-try fall inspired cookie from Target!🍪

ooo and they feature this majestic castle scene!

Pillsbury Grands! Pumpkin Spice Rolls With Pumpkin Spice Icing

First, I should mention that these rolls are made from Cinnabon cinnamon, which of course, is one of the best little bakeries to grace the entire Earth!🌎

Like most Pillsbury rolls products, these pumpkin rolls are a seasonal slam dunk. Although, I do think the pumpkin flavor could be a bit stronger. I’m not quite sure that anyone eating these blindfolded would necessarily know that they are a pumpkin spice roll versus a regular cinnamon bun.

fresh out the oven!

And as a side note – does anyone ever think that they give enough icing for these refrigerated rolls?? I definitely don’t – so per usual I would have liked some more icing!

But nevertheless, these were outstanding and out of the 5 jumbo sized rolls that came in the package – I polished off 2.5 of them by myself over the course of a recent fine Sunday. Oops!🐽

I’ve seen these at couple of grocery stores – so they should be easy to find!

heavenly

Oui Pumpkin Caramel Yogurt

Oui is one of my favorite brands of yogurt because I love the creamy consistency.

Oui makes several different flavors of yogurt where the fruit (or, in this case, the pumpkin caramel) is on the bottom. Because the jar is so small, it was difficult to stir the caramel sauce into the yogurt thoroughly and the first few bites tasted more like plain yogurt than anything else.

But once I got a good mix going on and made my way down the yogurt jar, I found that I thoroughly enjoyed this seasonal yogurt. It could definitely be more pumpkin-y and and a heavier hand on spice would be welcomed, but the caramel flavor is spot on. Definitely a great limited edition yogurt to try!

Cheesecake Factory Pumpkin Pecan Cheesecake

And I would just like to take a moment to say that if you REALLY want to experience a delightful fall treat then you must head over to the Cheesecake Factory and get the Pumpkin Pecan Cheesecake!🍰

It’s really a slice of heaven. It’s basically like pumpkin and pecan pie had a baby and combined to make the best fall-tastic cheesecake ever. It’s so, so good! You gotta go🚗🚗🚗

Oui Layered Dessert Yogurt?

Now, I have no idea if this is a yogurt dessert. Meaning is it somewhat healthier than regular cheesecake because it’s partially made with yogurt? It’s made by Yoplait and is advertised as Oui Desserts, but no where on the label does it say that this is actually yogurt. It just says cheesecake sooo🤷🏻‍♀️

With that being said, I guess this isn’t really yogurt but it is pretty darn good. It’s a caramel cheesecake layered dessert consisting of a graham cracker crust, cheesecake, and caramel on top. The mix of the three layers is quite a delicious bite and this would certainly satisfy your sweet tooth.

While the graham cracker crust is outstanding and I did enjoy the other layers, there was a tad too much caramel and it somewhat overwhelmed the other flavors.

But overall, this was a thumbs up!

Except, I happen to look REALLY carefully at the label to see if this was actually yogurt and LORD HAVE MERCY – there are 300 calories in one little teeny jar!!! Ok– definitely not a healthy dessert and definitely overly indulgent.

It’s good, but not 300 calories good.  I won’t be buying again and do not recommend. 300 calories is better spent at The Cheesecake Factory eating their pumpkin cheesecake!🧡

Mother’s Halloween Circus Animal Cookies

Lastly, are these adorable Halloween themed animal crackers that I picked up at Target. Are they very good? No, not really. But kids love them! They are ridiculously overly sweet because they are iced animal crackers and animal crackers are already sweet enough. But they are super festive and fun to have around during the Halloween season!🎃

That’s it for this round of Fall themed food reviews! What sounds most like a food you would want to try this season?! Let me know in the comments!🙂

Read my from post last year where I featured some of the best fall foods over at Trader Joe’s!

Good Morning All!

Today I’m back with a new food review post! One of my favorite snack foods is potato chips and if you are anything like me then you also love chips and crave that salty goodness with a crisp crunch almost every day.

Today’s food reviews post is mostly a compilation of different kinds of chips that I’ve sampled and tried over the last few months. I’m also reviewing an incredible sweet topping that your coffee definitely needs and a real crunch of a granola bar! I’ve got six reviews today, so let’s get into it!

Pringles Screamin’ Dill Pickle

Nowadays Pringles and Lay’s regularly rotate limited edition flavors in and out of circulation. I tried three interesting Pringles flavors over the course of the last few months.

Dill Pickle chips are my favorite flavor by Lay’s. I know Pringles regularly has out dill pickle as a flavor, but I hadn’t ever tried them because I just love the ones by Lay’s so much that I never stray from them.

However, I decided to try the Screamin’ Dill Pickle flavor which are supposed to be an extra intense taste of dill pickle and WHOA – that they are! Dill pickle is a great flavor for potato chips, but after a handful of these crisps, I could feel the salt eating away at my mouth and could tell that if I kept eating them my mouth and tongue would really hurt!

If you are a fan of pickle chips, then I’m certain that you would like these. But the thing is, I mostly enjoy dill pickle chips because they are similar to salt & vinegar chips, but a little less intense on the salt overload and don’t kill your month. So eating these chips was like going backwards for me!

I also feel like this flavor tastes better on a thinner chip and I think I will stick to Lay’s when it comes to pickle flavored chips. Out of the three flavors of Pringles that I tried, this one was my least favorite.

Pringles Rotisserie Chicken

Last year one of my friends was in Paris and came across Lay’s Roast Chicken potato chips. She knew I would be so intrigued so she was sweet enough to mail me a bag once she got back to the U.S.! I was thrilled and the taste was kind of odd, but also kind of delicious. Odd because they literally tasted like a whole Thanksgiving meal in one potato chip. But it was also extremely impressive that the fine people over at Lay’s managed that much flavor on a single chip!

So when I saw these Rotisserie Chicken flavored Pringles at Walgreens, I had to try them! These are really good, but the flavor is distinctly different from the Lay’s chicken chips. The Pringles are heavy on a chicken gravy flavor, rather than just chicken. These crisps are also mostly brown in color giving the appearance that gravy seasoning is indeed a big part of the flavor. They are tasty, but definitely not a real winner in my book. I would pass on buying these unless you are real curious as to what chicken gravy chips taste like!🐔

Pringles Ranch

These were gone so quickly in my house that I barely got a chance to savor the flavor! My husband and my daughter were both so into these chips that they were gone in a flash. These are so delicious and I’m not even a huge ranch lover. I hardly ever use ranch salad dressing or make a ranch dip for chicken wings or anything, so I was pleasantly surprised by how good these chips were.

The seasoning worked really well on a thicker crisp like a Pringle and I enjoyed these much more than wavy Lay’s ranch chips. The flavor was zesty, but not overpowering and these were really addictive! Sadly, I’ve had a hard time finding them in most stores so if you can find them, then grab them! Even if you only slightly like ranch, you will love these chips!

Reddi Whip Barista Series Sweet Foam

Sweet Cream Foamed Milk | Reddi-wip

At this time I would like to switch gears and give a huge shout-out to the team at Reddi-Whip who have been oh so busy doing God’s work! 🙌

This stuff is AMAZING and has really elevated my morning coffee game.☕️ It looks like your typical Reddi-Whip upon first glance – but, oh no it’s waaay cooler!

You simply shake and spray it out in a similar fashion to how you use Reddi- Whip. Shake can several times, then flip over, press nozzle and voila! BUT this stuff melts quicker than whipped cream and turns into a delightful looking foam on your coffee. If you taste it right away it tastes just like whipped cream, but the purpose of it is to melt into your coffee and add an element of sweetness. It’s delicious and I’ve been semi-stalking stores looking for it. BUT it’s hard to stalk during a quarantine. Waaaa and the last store that I went to that I know carries it was sold out. 😩 SO here’s hoping for a restock, because until Starbucks is back to normal this stuff is my new BFF.💕

Update: My mom found some at the Stop&Shop by her home and I had her pick up three bottles!! #winning

I also just realized that Reddi-Whip came out with a Nitro Creamer as part of their Barista Series line, but I have yet to come across that in any of the grocery stores near me to try!

making mornings MUCH better

Lay’s Fried Green Tomato Potato Chips

Lay's Wavy Potato Chips TOA Fried Green Tomato 7.5 Ounce Plastic ...

That last time I was at Market Basket, they had a sale on Lay’s chips so I was all set to get Dill Pickle (of course) – but they had NONE. UGH, So I saw these and decided to try them out.

These chips are really just alright. Fried green tomatoes are good, I just don’t think that it translated over into the best chip flavor. Not terrible, but not spectacular either. The tomato flavor is there along with what Lay’s used to create their fried flavoring – some sort of buttermilk and spice concoction.

The biggest take away from these chips is that they are kind of spicy. There is a kick at the end which I think is meant to represent some sriracha sauce that you dip fried tomatoes into. I’m not into spicy foods, but the kick is kind of welcoming because it adds more depth to the overall flavor. Without it, these chips would be reminiscent of several other tomato based flavors that Lay’s has come out with previously.

There’s definitely been limited edition flavors that have been better, (I’m still waiting for Lime & Sea Salt flavored chips to come back!) so I’ll finish the bag but won’t be repurchasing or hoping for another limited release.

Target Good & Gather Almonds & Coconut Nut Bars

Once upon a time there was global pandemic and a girl named Holly who was trying her best to NOT gain 25 pounds from just lying around and doing mindless snacking! So she ordered a few seemingly healthier snacks from Target’s rebranded line, Good & Gather.

These bars seem like Target’s own version of KIND bars so I figured I would like them because KIND bars are surprisingly tasty for basically just being nuts stuck together in a bar form by some sort of natural sugar binding process.

But YIKES! One bite into this bar and my teeth hurt! I mean sometimes these healthy granola/nut bars are hard and I’m used to that, but this was ridiculous. My husband took one bite, spit it out, declared it inedible and threw the whole thing out. 🤣

Now, I would not take as extreme measures as him as I make it my own personal goal to never waste food, so I’ll eat the bars. They actually taste good – it’s just that you have to take delicate little bites and try to first soften the bar with your mouth before fully biting into it! Once you know that, then these are a fine nut bar and a slightly more reasonably priced alternative to KIND bars. Speaking of which – the KIND dark chocolate peanut butter bars are really good!!

And that completes my Spring Food Reviews!  Have you tried any new snack foods lately? Which of these food products would you like to try? Or let me know if you have tried any of these products and did or did not enjoy them!

As for me, I’m hoping to find the Ranch Pringles again soon!

xx

And if you are feeling really desperate and want to pay high prices, they are available on Amazon!

Good Morning & Happy October!

The weather lately has been so gorgeous! It’s been sunny for what seems like weeks on end, and I hope you have all been enjoying it!

I’m back today with some food reviews! Since we are in the midst of the gorgeous season of Fall, I decided to go with seasonal themed foods for this edition of food reviews.

It seems like every year there are more and more pumpkin spiced foods, so I had a lot to choose from! I started with four items to review but then I tried a few more, so today I have 7 items I’m reviewing!

So let’s get into it!

Good Afternoon!

*I’m posting late today because I had a major computer problem last night and could not get on the internet! It was AWFUL. I spent nearly 2 hours trying to figure it out – gave up and went to bed. I got it working this afternoon, so fingers crossed that the problem is solved. I really need to go to school for IT!*

Onto the post:

Today I’m sharing a recipe that I have made since the 8th grade!

In 8th grade I went to Catholic school and that year the school requested recipes from all of the students and their parents to make a cookbook. The end result was a fabulous assortment of recipes since all of the parents picked their most beloved ones to be in the cookbook.

My mom and I poured over that cookbook for a while trying out new recipes here and there. My favorite one out of that cookbook (that I’ve made time and time again) is the recipe I am sharing today: Spaghetti Pie.

If you like Italian dishes but tire of the same old ones, like spaghetti or lasagna, then this is the next meal that you need to make! It’s like spaghetti with meat sauce, but in a fun way!

First, you cook spaghetti and combine that with cheese and egg to form the “pie crust”. Next add the “pie filling”, which is ground hamburger mixed with tomatoes and spices. Then top it with a generous amount of mozzarella cheese and bake!

Ingredients and detailed instructions:

Spaghetti Pie

Ingredients:

8 oz. spaghetti

2 tbsp. butter or margarine

1/2 c. grated parmesan cheese

2 eggs, well beaten

1lb. ground beef

1/2 c. chopped onion

1/4 c. chopped green pepper

8 oz. can tomatoes

6 oz. can tomato paste

1 tsp. sugar

1 tsp. dried oregano

1/2 tsp. garlic salt

1 c. cottage cheese

1/2 c. shredded mozzarella cheese

Directions:

Cook spaghetti and drain water.

Stir in the butter, parmesan cheese, and eggs.

I used mozzarella cheese instead of grated parmesan because I like it better!
Add to the spaghetti and mix!

Form into crust in a buttered 9 or 10 inch pie plate.

In a skillet, brown the hamburger with the chopped onions and green pepper.

I had no green pepper to cook, so I simply added onions.

Drain off any excess fat.

When meat is browned, stir in undrained tomatoes, tomato paste, sugar, oregano, and garlic salt.

Heat through.

Spread cottage cheese over bottom “crust.”

Fill with meat mixture.

Top with mozzarella cheese.

Bake at 350° uncovered for 20 to 25 minutes, until the cheese is melted. Enjoy!

Allow to cool for at least 5 minutes before cutting into the pie!

I made a little salad to accompany the main dish!
I always make either garlic bread or texas toast to have with any Italian dinner!
Close up of the cheesy, meaty spaghetti pie. Yum!

Just a few tips about this recipe:

1. The pie shape makes spaghetti a little bit easier to serve and eat. No more slurping spaghetti!

2. It does take some time to prepare, but you can break it out into steps if you don’t have time to prepare all at once. For example, make the crust – set aside in the fridge and return later to finish making the hamburger filling and bake. Or prepare the whole pie earlier in the day, then pop it in the fridge. Simply bake later when you are ready!

3. I’m not a fan of cottage cheese and I know a lot of others aren’t either. But since you baked it in this recipe, you cannot taste any cottage cheese flavor. It simply melts into the spaghetti and helps to hold that layer together!

4. It’s easy to swap ingredients in and out of this recipe, if you don’t like something listed. Have fun with it!

Let me know if you plan on trying out this recipe! I think it wins over most eaters. My two-year-old loves it and refers to it as “big spaghetti”! 🙂

I hope everyone has a great day!

Good Morning!

If you read my blog, then you know how much I enjoy cooking and baking. I don’t read tons of cookbooks because it’s so easy to just google search for recipes anytime, but occasionally a cookbook comes along that piques my interest so much that I purchase it. And today I’m talking about the one cookbook that I purchased in the past year: Magnolia Table.

Around the holidays last year I picked up the Magnolia Table cookbook by Joanna Gaines. Even though I’m not huge into HGTV, I am well aware of Chip and Joanna and what big stars they have become. I actually picked up the cookbook to put in a Yankee Swap gift exchange for Christmas because I figured that she is so well-liked that surely someone would want her cookbook. (Side Note: I think any cooking tools or cookbooks make great gifts in a gift swap because everyone has to eat and there is usually someone who will be happy with such items!)

However, I never ended up putting it into the gift swap because I thumbed through it one day and decided I wanted to keep it and make some of the recipes! But then I put on my counter and sort of forgot about it. Months later, I picked it up and started leafing through it again and decided that I really needed to try some of the recipes out!

Fast forward to today, and so far I’ve made six recipes from this book and they have all been amazing! So I’ve put together a little post to share some pictures of the recipes and my thoughts on them.

Good Morning!

I could have sworn that I scheduled this to post early Tuesday morning, but I guess I never hit the publish button so it didn’t happen. 🙁 I’ve had a hectic past two days so I didn’t catch it until I told my cousin to check out my latest recipe on my blog and she told me that it wasn’t there! #fail

So I have now hit publish and below is what I wrote over the weekend and intended to post!

I hope everyone had a nice, relaxing long weekend! I’m back today with a food post and I’m sharing an easy, crowd-pleasing dinner recipe!

Good Morning!

I haven’t done a food post in a few weeks so today I decided to write about one of my favorite summertime meals: Portuguese Boiled Dinner!

I made this last week and posted a couple of videos of it to my Instagram stories. I got a few replies and comments back on my stories and decided to just share a little more detail and the full recipe here in case anyone wants to take a stab at making it!

First, a little background:

I grew up eating this meal at least once every summer. It’s mostly a summertime meal because it involves string beans and if you want the best tasting string beans then you wait until the summer and get fresh ones from a farm stand!

My family always just called this meal: Linguica, String Beans, & Potatoes, but I recently started calling it Portuguese Boiled Dinner since it really is kind of a play on a traditional Irish boiled dinner!

Ingredients:

Linguica or Chourico

Potatoes – basic white potatoes

String Beans

Yellow Onions

Salt & Pepper

I always make too much food so I used almost 3 lbs. of meat and, about 3/4 of a 5lb. bag of potatoes, 5 yellow onions, and 1-1.5 lb. of string beans. This would definitely be enough for a family of 4 plus some leftovers!

Step One:

Prep Work!

Get your largest pot out and fill with water. Add some salt and put it on the stove to get it boiling.

Wash the string beans and cut off the stems of each bean.

Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut the larger potatoes in half.

Peel the onions. Just peel, do not cut up.

Take linguine and/or chourico out of the packaging and cut up into 3″-4″  pieces.

Step Two:

Cooking!

Add the potatoes to the boiling water first since they take the longest amount of time to cook. For smaller size potatoes, I just peeled and dropped into the pot. For larger sized potatoes, I just cut them in half once and dropped into the pot. Let them boil for roughly 10 minutes alone before adding any other ingredients.

After 10 minutes, add in the onions and let boil for a couple of minutes.

Then add the string beans and meat at the same time.

From here you simply just wait for everything to cook! I would estimate that it maybe took another 25-30 minutes! The only tricky part is trying to get the timing right so that everything  finishes cooking at the same time because no one wants soggy, overcooked potatoes!

The meat provides a lot of flavoring to the vegetables and all that is needed before you eat is some salt and pepper to enhance the taste!

That’s it! This meal is easy and really good! It’s a boiled dinner, but a much faster one than the one I make on St. Patrick’s Day which basically cooks all afternoon! This Portuguese version is a breeze to whip up after work and enjoy!

Good Morning!

I hope everyone is having a good week thus far!

Today I am back with my July food reviews. I am a little early with it, considering that it is only July 3rd, but I have tried a few new food items that I wanted to blog about!

So let’s get into it!

Chester’s Puffcorn

First: a little back story. I’ve been on the hunt for Planter’s cheeseballs since they announced that they were coming back out. It was for a limited time only, so I’m guessing by now that I missed my chance to get my hands on them. I scoured sooo many stores in my quest for them and always came up empty handed. 🙁 There are a few other cheeseball brands around, most notably Utz. But they sell cheeseballs in these ENORMOUS containers that I think are mostly meant for parties or if you have a gigantic family.

I was at Super Wal-Mart the other day which is one of my most favorite stores because they typically have snack foods that I can’t find at other stores. On this particular visit they had a large display of Cheetos products, but instead of it being a actual Cheetos, it was advertised as Chester’s with some new-ish looking packaging. They had a bag of Chester’s Puffcorn, which by looking at the packaging quickly, I thought looked and sounded like cheeseballs, so I put them into my carriage for purchasing.

However, once I got home and completely read the bag, I realized that they aren’t really like cheeseballs. They are supposed to be a safer snack substitute for cheese popcorn because they do not have kernels, but have that same cheesy popcorn flavor.

Regarding the taste, these are actually kind of an interesting tasting product as the Puffcorn has a unique consistency. It is almost like when you are eating Jax cheese curls and occasionally eat one that tastes way softer and is missing than the usual Jax cheese curl crunch. That is the only product that I think the consistency of this product is comparable to. If you have never had Jax, then I would say that this product both looks and tastes similar to what I would imagine Styrofoam packing peanuts covered in cheese would taste like! That isn’t a diss or to say that these are bad, because they are actually good!  The cheese flavor is yummy and these are a super lightweight snack, making me feel like I’m really not eating something bad. It’s just takes a minute to adjust to the odd product consistency.

I do think that this would be a good snack food for younger kids and toddlers as I rarely give my daughter popcorn at all because I’m afraid a kernel will get caught in her throat. These are so soft and light that I would definitely give her a bowl of these to munch on and would feel super comfortable about it.

In the end, I think most adults and kids alike would like Puffcorn. Although it is definitely not a substitute for my beloved cheeseballs, it is a solid cheesy snack food nonetheless!

Drake’s Starlight Brownies

This product is fairly new and I was SO pumped about these. I absolutely LOVE Little Debbie Cosmic Brownies and their original brownies with nuts on them (that seem to be a little harder to find these days).

Drake’s makes some really stellar products like Funny Bones and Ring Dings, so I was excited to see what they would bake up as a competing brownie against Little Debbie.

After checking a few grocery stores, I finally found these at Market Basket. I happily dove into one that afternoon and was not disappointed. I dare say that these are even better than cosmic brownies. These brownies feature a superior fudgy top layer that really delivers on chocolate taste. That chocolate layer is topped with little chocolate chips that are coated in a candied white shell, the “starlights”. Those aren’t really necessary, but I almost always welcome an added chocolate touch.

These are super delicious moist brownies and I highly recommend that you use this handy little product finder to locate a store that carries these delectable little goodies near you!

McDonald’s Grand McExtreme Bacon Burger

I was really excited when I caught wind of McDonald’s new international menu items. I would be more excited if they would bring back the Frozen Cold Brew from last summer because that was AMAZING, but since it appears that they are not, I sought to try out a couple of new international delights.

I decided to try the McExtreme Bacon Burger, because I never really love chicken sandwiches from fast food restaurants and the only other entrée choices was the Tomato Mozzarella Chicken Sandwich.

This burger is a ¼ lb. fresh beef topped with applewood smoke bacon, onions, a McBacon sauce, and Gouda cheese on a sesame seed bun. That all sounded pretty good to me and it lived up to the hype!

The star of this burger to me was really the McBacon sauce, which was simply delightful! It looks almost like Big Mac sauce, but the taste had a smoky bacon flavor that was most enjoyable. I also found the onions to be a great addition and provided a nice crunch in every bite. I’m not a huge fancy cheese person, so gouda cheese doesn’t mean that much to me, and I can’t say that it really made the burger any better. But that bacon sauce was amazing and I kept thinking that it was yet another thing that McDonald’s should just bottle and sell already. (Along with their sweet & sour sauce and their ketchup, which I swear is different and better than all store ketchup brands!)

I would definitely recommend trying this burger out before it’s gone! McDonald’s does not specify how long the “limited time” is, but hopefully this international menu is available through summer!

McDonald’s Stroopwafel McFlurry

Coming in from the Netherlands is the new international McFlurry.  It features McDonald’s usual vanilla soft serve ice cream, mixed with caramel swirl, and chopped Stroopwafel caramel cookie pieces.

It sounded pretty darn good and tasted even better! It’s really just like a McDonald’s sundae if you have ever had the sundae with caramel sauce and then they just added some caramel waffle flavored cookies to it. In other words, it was heavenly! I don’t really care much for vanilla ice cream so I rarely get McFlurrys, but McDonald’s vanilla ice cream really has its own unique flavor that with one bite took me right back high school when I would get ice cream from there all the time!

This was super delicious with the only problem being that the caramel is a bit sticky, and even more so now with the addition of caramel cookies. The end result is a lot of it getting stuck in your teeth and you could possibly pull out a filling if you had decades old fillings in your mouth, which I think plenty of people do! So maybe don’t eat this if you are concerned about needing some dental work in the near future. 😉 Otherwise just be prepared for lots of caramel getting stuck in your teeth, but it being well worth it. I downed this in record time and can’t wait to get another on a hot, summer day!

DiGiorno Crispy Pan Pizza

I wanted to love this pizza because I like Domino’s pan pizza and was hoping that this was fairly similar or if I was shooting real high – hoping for something similar to Pizzeria Uno’s deep dish pizza. BUT sadly, this pizza wasn’t on the level of either one. I realize that this is just a frozen pizza, BUT a girl can dream.

This pizza looked really good and I love that it came in its own pan to cook in. However, that’s sort of where the good points end. Because it’s pizza, it was edible & alright, but definitely not great. The corner pieces of the pizza were the crispiest and the best tasting, while the middle was soft and kind of doughy.  It’s A LOT of crust and dough and I’m a huge bread person so if I think it’s a lot, then it’s A LOT.

Also, I took one bite and all the cheese came off the slice with it! UGH, I hate it when that happens!! After that, it basically became one of those awful Rhode Island pizzas (my apologies to the miniature state, but I’m not a fan) where it’s just a square piece of thick bread with pizza sauce slathered all over it.

DiGiorno is a good brand so I wouldn’t say don’t buy this, but there are definitely better frozen pizzas out there!

Herr’s Grill Mates Chips – Montreal Steak Seasoning

Herr’s Chips are one of those obscure chip brands that I rarely see in stores. I feel like it’s a chip brand that you occasionally see in a vending machine or in some random convenience store on a road trip. And although it’s not a chip that I eat often, I do enjoy them and think they make a quality chip.

So I was intrigued when I was doing some grocery shopping at Market Basket the other day and I happened to spot these on an end cap. I did a quick backtrack to check over the flavors and I scooped up this bag with Montreal Steak Seasoning.

This bag was 6.5 oz. and was $2.00, which I think seems like a very fair price. Montreal Steak seasoning is one of my all-time favorite products that my mom really got me into growing up. She would put this seasoning on EVERYTHING and it made every dish taste good. Since it seemed to taste good on everything, I felt confident that this would be a great seasoning on potato chips and it is!

These chips don’t taste incredibly different from a regular chip that is just salted, but it’s kicked up a slight notch with the addition of garlic and pepper seasoning. These are tasty for sure and would definitely be a great summertime chip! They could use maybe a little bit of heavier of a hand when dumping on the seasoning, but overall really good!

That’s all for today! Have you tried any of these products?!

I hope everyone has a great holiday!
