Hi All!

Americana is one of my all-time favorite words. I think I first heard it as a Jeopardy! category many, many, many years ago and I thought it was such a funny word. I feel like it sounds pretentious even though, in general, I feel like America is the opposite. When I think of America the first thing I think of is rednecks, followed closely by George Washington. lol

In any event, I use the word “Americana” a lot and today I’m using it to describe my Friday Finds!

I know everyone is super excited about the kickoff of summer, so today I’m sharing a few patriotic looking finds and some of my favorite items currently on sale!

I’m realllyyyyy into looking patriotic during Americana season – which to me, runs from Memorial Day through 4th of July. It’s look patriotic time and that means any red, white, and blue outfits are welcomed! In addition to supporting your country, it’s a great color combo! It’s also REALLY EASY to dress in these colors since they are pretty basic and anyone can pull them off!

The most basic Americana uniform is jean shorts, a white top and a splash of red somewhere. I think any amount of effort to look patriotic is great and should be celebrated!

Below are links to the items in the collage to help inspire you look your most Americana self!

Bp. Linen Blend Camisole Top  – Breathable material and the buttons front look is really on trend this summer. On sale for $19.98!

High Rise Cuffed Denim Shorts – These are by Madewell and are currently 20% off! I actually ordered these, but ultimately returned because I didn’t love that the cuff isn’t sewn permanently into the shorts. But you may like that and the fact that they can be rolled or not. I can attest that they run true to size and I felt that they were a great denim wash for the summer.

Women’s Havaianas Slim Usa Flip Flop – Everyone needs a pair of Havaianas. The most comfortable flip flop I’ve ever owned and the little American flag on them is adorable.

2 Person Loveseat – How cute is this lawn chair loveseat?! It’s only $35! They also offer a single person one for $15 here!

Striped Tote Bags – A slightly patriotic look for your canvas tote bag! This camera bag is also really cute with the red, white & blue strap!

Star Lounge Tee – It’s fun to sometimes add a splash more Americana fashion to your life and wear a star tee!

Bikini – I actually kind of loathe the quintessential 4th of July bikini seen here. It’s just a tad extra and overdone for me. However, I am all for this one from Target that has some cute patriotic color blocking in the top. The matching bottoms are high rise and are almost sold out so I’m linking a red bottom that could also be worn. In my experience, Target swimsuits run kind of small so I would size up!

Hi All!

Well the birds are chirping and the sun has been out for the past few days! It sure seems that summer is just around the corner and with that comes the days of relaxed casual style!

When it comes to summer fashion my usual go to look, especially for work, is a dress. It’s easy, it’s breezy, it’s basically the best!

Good Morning!!

I’m so happy that it’s Friday because tomorrow is the launch of one of the best Target collaborations yet: Vineyard Vines for Target! It is available for purchase starting Saturday, 5/18!!

Target has had some great designer collaborations in the past, but I am especially excited about this one. Vineyard Vines has the most darling, preppy, cute, beach-y clothing & accessories but at some of the most ridiculous prices! Luckily, their line with Target features over 300 pieces at really affordable prices. Their offerings include men, women, children, & baby clothing, home decor, outdoor fun & games, pet, and tabletop pieces!

The line is available in stores and live online starting tomorrow, 5/18 – probably around 3am. However, Target has had the items online for about a week now and you can “heart” which items are your favorites for easier checkout for when you can actually purchase!

So today for my Friday Finds, I am sharing some of my favorite items from the collection! Shop the whole collection here.

1. Women’s Shep Shirt $35

2. Throw Blanket $30

3. Beach Bag $40

4. Belt Bag $20

5. 4 Piece Cosmetic Bag Set $30

6. Women’s Romper $30  – matching kids version here!

7. Lidded Wine Cup $5

10. Plush Stuffed Whales $18

11. 4 Piece Tray Set $25

12. Men’s Jacket $35

13. Play Beach Set $12

14. Men’s Bathing Suit $25

15. Kid’s Hat $12

16. Adult Hat $16

17. Baby Bodysuit $12

18. Men’s Gingham Shirt $30

19. Toddler Dress $18

20. Wall Hooks $25

There are just so many cute items! I think I will most likely be a total crazy person and set my alarm for 3am to shop the collection online. I had to do it with the Hunter collection last year and I was able to snag most of the items that I wanted before they sold out. This collection is bigger, but I suspect a fairly quick sell out of the men’s and women’s clothing and for some of the accessories. Missing out is the worst so I will be up super early for this one!

Will you also be shopping this collection?! Let me know what you think of the collaboration in the comments!

Good Morning!!

Today I wanted to talk about the 1990s. The 90s were such a fun time! I used to walk and ride my bike everywhere with my big sister. First we’d walk to McDonalds and eat our #2 value meals (probably super sized.)  Then we’d head on over to Strawberries to listen to some tunes. Then mosey on over to CVS to look over the cosmetics section and perhaps get some new Bonne Bell lip gloss (I think we all know the vanilla frosting one was THE BEST.)

They should really bring this back.

Then as I entered my teenage years I loooooved turning on the ol’ family Gateway computer, signing onto AOL and anxiously await to hear if my favorite voice would say “You’ve got mail.” (Those Blue Mountain greeting cards were my fav!) Then I’d play some Slingo, decide whether or not to IM my crush, and move along with my day. It was great!

Definitely spent waaaaay too much time playing this!

I’ve really been loving the 90s resurgence in fashion and pop culture lately. I really love it since it’s a way to relive those memories and still feel connected to all of those great times!

So today for my Friday Finds I’m sharing a bunch of recent 90s inspired fashion & fun items that I’m loving!

1. Adidas Falcon Sneaker $100.00

A little on the pricey side, but these fun, retro-looking sneakers are awesome! They come in a bunch of different colors, but the pair in the collage and the one below are definitely the most 90s looking!

2. Tank Top $25.50

This tank top is well worth $25.50!

All That was seriously one of the best shows from the 90s! In addition to All That, Nickelodeon was really killing it with the SNICK line up on Saturday nights. Clarissa, Round House, Ren & Stimpy, & Are You Afraid of the Dark? made my Saturday nights the best! I still have a SNICK keychain that I mailed away for after collecting several proof of purchases from Corn Flakes cereal boxes!

Clearly one of my most prized possessions.

3. Personalized Hoop Earrings $128.00

I ALWAYS wanted personalized “Holly” earrings like this!!! Anyone else want their name on their earrings?!

4. Black Sandals $70.00

These sandals were EVERYWHERE and I think every girl owned a pair. Steve Madden brought them back only about a month ago and they are so popular that they are only still available in a couple of sizes! Snag them if you can!! Also available at Urban Outfitters.

5. 90s Pop Culture Trivia Game $14.99

I think I really need this game. If for nothing else, to quiz myself on 90s trivia because I love it that much! It would also make for a fun gift. The little write up on the back sounds so promising!

6. Prairie Posies Slipdress $59.99

The first thing I think of when it comes to 90s fashion is simple floral dresses like this. I’m literally right back to the mall going to Barbara Moss with my sister watching her try on similar dresses with little flowers all over them!

Old Navy has also been channeling the 90s as several new arrivals have little daisies all over them!

7. Cards Against Humanity 90s Set $5.00

Another fun 90s edition to your favorite game!

8. The North Face Jacket $230.00

This jacket is the coolest and you would for sure look so cool wearing it. I wish it did not come with a $230 price tag, though. The North Face jackets do usually eventually go on sale so I will be stalking this one for sure! I also love this fleece!

The whole ’92 Rage collection is here – they have a lot of good stuff for guys, too!

9. Cooler $39.99

I think I must follow all kinds of old school accounts on Instagram since I only know about this because it came up as an Instagram ad on my feed. Which makes me really happy that Instagram totally gets me and knows that I would really want to hear that Igloo has come out with a 90s line of retro looking coolers!! Job well done, Instagram!! I know everyone else complains about the algorithm, but they really pegged me right on this one!

So, Igloo has released three retro coolers! I think my mom probably still owns that smaller size one in those same exact colors. That definitely looks like our beach cooler to me! Pack it up with tunafish sandwiches, Cape Cod chips, some Capri Sun and let’s go!! I’ll bring the Scatch!

Best 90s beach game!

That’s all for today! Do you love the 90s as much as I do?!

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Hi All!

Since I’ve started blogging, this is the third time that I’m rounding up my leopard print favorites from around the web! (If you can’t get enough animal print either, my first and second roundups are here and here.)

Leopard is still really on trend and since we are finally in the warmer months, I decided to share some new and more summery looking leopard print pieces!

Hi All!

The weather has been so dreary lately! Usually I don’t mind rainy weather, but the lack of sunshine lately has been a bit depressing.

Typically, I don’t mind the rain because I like my rainy day wardrobe! I love my packable Hunter rain boots and I have a red rain coat that I also like to wear. Wearing clothes, shoes, & accessories that you love helps to ease the pain of, yet, another rainy day.

So today I’m sharing some bright rain attire & accessories to help elevate your mood until the weather clears up!

Hi All!

Since Mother’s Day is next Sunday, I decided to use this week’s installment of Friday Finds to share Mother’s Day gift ideas!

I think you can break down Mother’s Day gifts into four different categories.

  1. Self-Care Gifts – beauty products, spa treatments, skin care products
  2. Traditional & Sentimental Gifts – framed pictures, flowers, cheesy cards
  3. Domestic Gifts – home decor & housewares
  4. Fashionable Gifts – clothing, accessories, jewelry

First, figure out which gift category best suits your mom. Then read through the gift ideas below as I have linked a few products from each category!
