Happy December!
To kick off the month, today I wanted to discuss Christmas sweaters and my thoughts on them.
Happy December!
To kick off the month, today I wanted to discuss Christmas sweaters and my thoughts on them.
Hi All!
Today I am back with a new shoe review! I am reviewing a splurge vs. save shoe. The splurge being Steve Madden’s Feather Loafers and the save being Target’s Micah Point Toe Loafers.
I love a good pair of loafers because they are typically comfortable and chic looking. I ordered the Steve Madden Feather Loafer in camel first. These retail for $69.95 and I have yet to find them cheaper anywhere. I have actually been eyeing the Steve Madden Feather Loafer in leopard for quite sometime, but am kind of annoyed that they are $20 more than the other colors (I suppose because they are hair-on as opposed to suede.) I didn’t order the leopard ones because I wanted to compare to the Target shoe exactly. Target does offer a leopard pair, but they were sold out in my size at the time. Therefore, I ordered the camel colored suede pair in a size 8.
Overall, I really loved this shoe! It’s very comfortable and super cute. The camel color is gorgeous and a true neutral that you could wear with everything. The suede felt very nice to the touch and I really loved the pointy toe look as I find it most flattering to my feet! They fit my feet, but are a smidge tight so I plan on ordering them in a 8.5 to see if that is a better fit. A day after I ordered the camel ones I decided I really loved the plaid ones and ordered those in an 8 as well. The black plaid ones are so are adorable – especially for the holiday season! They actually fit a little less tight than the camel colored ones but I still think an 8.5 would fit better. I would recommend ordering a ½ size up or order two different sizes to be sure you have the right fit. I really love this shoe and hope to find it on sale or to scoop it up during Black Friday or Cyber Monday in an 8.5!
Moving on to the Target loafers. They are part of Target’s A New Day line which has some really great pieces very similar to items you find at Madewell or J.Crew. I was really excited to find that they had knockoff Steve Madden loafers at a fraction of the price. These retail for $22.99 which is so cheap! I ordered these in the tan color in a size 8.5, as 8 was unavailable at the time.
I wish I could say that I loved them, but I really didn’t! They do look very similar in color and shape to the Steve Madden version, so that’s a definite plus. Since I had to order these in an 8.5, they were too big, but I don’t think an 8 would fit me well either because they were so wide. I ordered the regular version, although they are offered in wide. I double checked my order and the shoe box and I definitely received the regular version of these loafers, so I suppose they just run wide? I feel like if someone has a wide foot then these would be a dream shoe as they look nearly identical to the Steve Madden version. I would say the material looked exactly the same, but upon feeling them that the Target suede was not quite as smooth as the Steve Madden suede. In addition, the bottom sole of the Steve Madden shoe had better grips than the Target shoes. All and all, these were really minimal differences and if these work on your feet then get them fast because you cannot beat the price! *Just a side note that these are sold out in a few sizes and colors online but you can email sign up to get alerted for when they are back in stock!
Here are a couple of additional pics of them showing how similar looking they are!
That’s all for now!
Hope everyone is having a good week!

Hi All!
Hope everyone is doing well! I’ve been a little sick with a cold :/ but hopefully can kick it in a few days!
Today I am back posting reviews of three different style Hunter boots. Currently, I own the Original High Gloss Tall style in cranberry. I purchased these roughly six years ago and they are still in great condition. My only issue with them is how heavy and clunky they are, especially when trying to wear them for long periods of time. In addition, after I gave birth my feet shrunk down a size so my size 9 boots are really loose and feel heavier than ever.

I had been eyeing the packable style online for a while trying to find them on sale but I hadn’t had much luck. Since we are starting to get into the real cool, rainy, icky weather part of the year, I decided a couple of weeks ago to just bite the bullet and pay full price for them. As I was about to check out, I noticed two new styles that I also liked and wanted to try on. So I purchased three different styles to review!
Just an FYI:
They also recently came out with leopard print ones that are adorable, but I refrained from ordering!
So let’s get on to my pics and reviews!
First, the Hunter Original Play Tall Rain Boot. Available in several different colors (a few more different colors here at Zappos!) and retails for $110. I ordered these because I wanted to see if I liked that they were tall boots, but not as tall as the originals. I also thought the colors offered were very cute especially the green (called hyper green rubber) which is the one I ordered. Additonally, the little pull tag on the back of the boot adds a pop of flair and is really handy for taking these off since they are a pull off boot with no zipper. The boots arrived and I really loved the bright green color in person and the slight wedge on the sole of the boot. On, they do feel a little lighter than the originals, although they are still a little clunky. I ordered an 8 in these and they fit perfectly so the fit is more like a traditional Hunter boot where you size down since they don’t offer half sizes. The only thing I didn’t love about these was where they hit on my leg which was about halfway between my foot and knee. It kind of cut my leg off at a weird spot that I didn’t find flattering. Overall, I think they would make for a fun extra pair to have around if you already owned a neutral color in the tall ones, but I wouldn’t keep them as my main pair of rain boots.

Second, the Hunter Original Refined Rain Boot. I loved the look of this boot since it really just looks more like a traditional boot rather than a rain boot. It comes in a few colors and retail for $120-$175. The feel of it is much studier than the classic rain boot, although there is a still a little bit of clunkiness to them. I wish these came in half sizes because I ordered the 8 which fit but was a touch snug and a 9 would definitely be too big, so an 8.5 would probably be the best fit. These also come up a little higher than the classic boot so I would say they are better suited for taller women. Originally, I did like the look of this boot out of the box and on myself, although I thought they came up maybe a tad too high for my height (5’5″). The next day my sister was over and since we have a similar shoe size, I had her model all of these boots for me and even though she is taller than me, I did not like this pair on her at all! The whole look on her really kept reminding me of a Red Coat (aka a British soldier circa the Revolutionary War) and all I kept hearing was “Yankee Doodle” in my head and I kept envisioning Mel Gibson in The Patriot. Lol. So I was on the fence after I tried them on but after seeing her in them I decided I wouldn’t keep these! I think they could work on a lot of women, but personally I didn’t love the look.

Last, are the Hunter Tour Packable Rain Boots. I ordered these in black since I wanted to get a neutral pair to wear with anything. They retail for $150 and I have seen them offered in a few different neutral colors but not typically anything super bright colored. (I did find them in a bright pink on Amazon, but only in small sizes!) These look identical to the original boots that I currently own, but once I put them on the feel was incredibly different. These really are so much lighter and easier to walk in than the originals. I think the height of the boot shaft is also the most flattering out of the three as it hits just below the knee. I definitely felt that I could wear these all day and not feel overwhelmed by the heaviness of the boot. Overall I liked these the best out of the three that I ordered and I definitely liked them more than my original, traditional pair. They also are really flexible and fold up very easily for portability. In the end, I kept this pair!
Hunter Tour Packable Rain Boots in Black
The only thing I wished that Hunter offered was more adjustable calf style boots. My calves are athletic so I can only wear skinny jeans or leggings with these boots. Unfortunately, Hunter only offers adjustable ones in the traditional style and not in the packable, at least for right now!
Do you own any Hunter boots? I think they are a great investment! Let me know your thoughts in the comments!

Helloooooo!! Hope everyone is doing well! I’m back with a post featuring one of my all time favorite prints that just won’t go away….. Leopard/Cheetah/Spots, etc. I’m so excited that year after year animal prints continue their dominance in fashion. It’s such a fun way to add some pizazz to any outfit and in my opinion, it’s universally flattering and transcends age. I’ve created a collage featuring some of my latest favorites and have linked them below. MeOw !
1. Gap Cropped Leopard Sweater $52.00
A leopard sweater is a must have !! I have one plus two cardigans but the leopard print always varies slightly so it’s good to have a few on hand, right?! 😉
2. Kate Spade iPhone Case $45.00
I have had this phone case on my iPhone 7 Plus for nearly two years and it has not cracked through roughly 5,000 drops. Solid case, super cute print, and definitely worth the $45.
3. Metallic Pillow $47.99
I think it’s obnoxious how expensive throw pillows are. Especially since most of the time you need to buy two! At least you can get 20% off at Bed, Bath, & Beyond if you purchase this one since they always have coupons!
4. Steve Madden Heels $99.95
I NEED these! I had a pair of leopard print heels years ago from Target that actually held up quite well and were really comfy. Since those bit the bullet a couple of years ago, I think it’s time to purchase a new sexy pair like these.
5. Leopard Throw Blanket $180.00
Ok, I have been dreaming about owning this blanket FOR YEARS. Doesn’t it just look Sooo Cozy?! I don’t know when I will actually get my hands on it, but I can keep dreaming. I mean it’s 180.00! It goes on sale down to maybe $140.00 for the Nordstrom Anniversary sale, but I can never get myself to buy it because I already buy so many other things during the sale. But the reviews are amazing and everyone says it’s worth it, so one day it’s gonna be mine!
6. Flats $89.95
There are a ton of really cute leopard print flats out right now. I am also loving this pair from Madewell.
7. Express Belt $39.90 (Currently 20% off!)
A leopard print belt takes any simple plain black outfit to another level.
8. Gap Scarf $29.95
Heading into scarf season!! This cute leopard one is a definite must have – Sole Society also has a cute one and Nordstrom Brand BP. offers this one for only $19!
9. Clare V. Clutch $275.00
Another item I’ve been dreaming of owning for years. It just looks so perfect, but $275.00 for a clutch?! I can’t pull the trigger.
10. Rebecca Minkoff Crossbody $112.49
This is such a great deal for a cute bag that it will probably sell out quick. I also like this Vince Camuto bag and this Madewell one as well!
Are you loving the leopard print trend as much as me?! Happy Shopping!

Hi All! J.Crew has been rolling out lots of cute new arrivals and these are all on my current wish list.

Super cute update on a classic ponytail elastic.
Perfect for the fall & comes in lots of colors.
A slightly more dressy cami is always needed.
My number 1 want! Looks SO PERFECT for work, weekends, & everywhere.
6. Cabana Oversized Sunglasses
Who couldn’t use a new pair of sunglasses? I always need my privacy.
I’m stripe sick – so every single striped sweater I want to own and wear.
Hoop earrings in a fun, tortoise update!
I own a lot of camo print, but I don’t believe I have a camo sweatshirt sweater 😉
10. Black Bodysuit
I’m sick of tucking in my shirts again and again, so I am totally here for the bodysuit trend.
This fun, bling-y piece would be a welcomed addition to my arm candy party.
That’s all for now! Thanks for stopping by and let me know what you are loving from J.Crew!
