With the spring season in full swing, it’s time to discuss one of my favorite fashion pieces….jackets! 🧥
When you live with the bizarre weather patterns of New England, you really can never have too many jackets. There’s always either a chance of rain🌨 or there’s a slight chill in the air – and you just feel like you shouldn’t leave the house without a jacket, just in case.
Last fall I started really loving the Shacket trend, which is a shirt/jacket combo!
I ordered one from Nordstrom a few months ago and I’ve found that it has been a great transitional piece between seasons. It was perfect in the cooler months and continues to still be my trusty little friend now that the weather is warming up, but still pretty chilly most days.
Plus, I’ve found that it’s super easy to style it different ways. Whether it’s with faux leather leggings and mules or with jeans and sneakers, the shacket is the perfect layering piece for pulling any look together!
Today I’m sharing a few items that I’ve purchased recently from Target🎯 ! I’m also listing a few others that I haven’t purchased yet, but have my eye on and they are all on sale and have great reviews!
I sort of go through cycles with Target. I love it, but I don’t always purchase clothing or shoes from there but lately, I’ve come across a few items that I really love and wanted to share.🙂
All items are linked below, simply click on each item name or picture!
I just picked up this jacket in the black and white color in store! It is so unbelievable soft! They didn’t have my normal size in stock but they had a large in store and I loved it.
It’s a boxy fit so your normal size might not be the most flattering anyway! I like the large for an oversized, extra comfy look, so consider going up a size or too. This is a really great piece for fall and winter!
If you are anything like me and rarely leave the house these days, then you probably didn’t update your Fall wardrobe much this year!
I didn’t feel the need to buy many new items this season, but I did scoop up this cute Fall colored cardigan and think it’s well worth the $22! Runs TTS.
I’ve seen these slippers in store and they are so soft and fluffy!
You really can’t go wrong with $10 slippers! I mean, are they going to last longer than a couple of months?! No, probably not. But for $10 who really cares?! The leopard print pair are mostly sold-out,but they are available in grey, cream, and a couple of other colors!
I personally love the cream colored ones because they look cute but will get dirty fast, so you might as well just buy a cheap pair that you don’t mind throwing out in couple of months!
Last year I purchased these mules in the black color and wore them so much! They are a great shoe and perfect for work or for just hanging around.
The cozy lining is the best and I was excited to see then back in stock this year and in a new snakeskin print! But I really thought to myself, ” good thing I don’t work anymore or I would really want to buy these.}”
But then I saw them in store and had to get them anyways! lol They look even better in person!
There is limited stock in stores but they are in stock online and if your order them, I don’t think you will regret it!
Boots for women, men and kids are all Buy 1, Get 1 50% at Target currently and this pair has got to be my favorite!
These boots are the perfect neutral taupe, have an almond toe, a stacked easy to walk in heel, and the scrunch look is so cute! The perfect all boot for under $40!
Yet another great pair of boots are these knockoff Sorel wedge boots! I purchased this very similar looking Sorel pair a couple of years ago and they are a great pair of wedge boots.
This Target version comes in tan and black and retails for $39.99, but with the BOGO 50% off sale – getting these for $20 would be an even better deal!
Lastly, I’m finishing out this list with a festive, cozy top. This sweatshirt is made of the most delightful fleece. I touched it in store and immediately had to have it!
It’s the perfect sweatshirt for wrapping gifts or just lounging around drinking hot cocoa and watching Hallmark movies. Which is all we really want to do, isn’t it?!
I went up two sizes in this so that it would be a comfortable loose fit. And actually when I went home and tried it on it really isn’t even that loose! I would say this runs a on the small size and definitely size up a few sizes if you want it to be comfy loungewear.
I’ve shared a few more details of some of the items on my Insta Stories and I’ll be saving it under my highlights tab!
Have you been shopping at Target lately? Let me know in the comments! When I went last weekend they still hadn’t put out all of the Christmas decor so I’m hoping that is all up and ready to be shopped the next time that I go!
I hope everyone has a great day

Today is a great day because it’s the first day of PUBLIC access to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale!🛍 🛍 🛍
If you aren’t that familiar with the sale, it’s basically a great time to purchase brand new items and stock up on favorite beauty products! The sale works backwards so right now new items are on sale and once the sale is over, they will go back up in price!
For a couple of weeks now the sale has been open to Nordstrom credit card and debit card holders only, but today marks the day that anyone can shop! And although a lot of items have already sold-out (and this happens every year and is always annoying and a bummer ☹️) – there are still a lot of great items to be had!
Sooo today I’m listing:
The Top 16 Items From the Sale that You Need*
*I mean do we really NEED anything?! Probably not – BUT this is a great time to shop because, why not?! These are great deals and who couldn’t use a new pair of leggings or a cozy cardigan right now?! 👌
You can also shop sale picks in the Menu Bar at the top of the blog homepage by clicking the Shop #NSALE link!
So, let’s get into it!
Leggings
The sale is a great time to stock on some new pairs of leggings!
Has anyone been wearing anything more than black leggings lately? And it’s mostly all I really wear in the fall and winter, too. But they fade easily – even if you only wash with cold water and hang dry! It’s just inevitable and the sale is a great time to get a few more pairs.
It’s also a great time to purchase a pair of faux leather leggings! I love the Spanx ones but this time around I ordered the BP. version since they are much wallet friendly, so we’ll see how those are – I will report back!
2. Silk Pillowcase
This is the time to get yourself a fancy pillowcase, ladies! Great reviews are abound for these silk pillowcases and we all know how important it is to get a good night’s sleep!
3. Pajamas
Pajama sets are just so darling and look much better than just wearing some ratty old shirt to bed! These two sets are both great options.
4. Anything by Kiehl’s!
Kiehl’s products are always so good! The hand salve works wonders for dry hands and the midnight recovery oil is one product that I’ve wanted to try forever because it always has great reviews.
5. Tory Burch Bags
Every year there are amazing Tory Burch leather bags in the sale and this year is no exception!
6. Sneakers
There are tons of great shoes this year in the sale! The sneaker section is amazing with both athletic and fashion forward styles at great prices.
7. Flats & Mules
Speaking of great shoes – these mules from Madewell and Steve Madden are gorgeous! And if I had a job I found totally get these!🤣 So cute for going out and for the office.
8. Denim
From ripped faded colors to classic dark washes, there are over 130 different denim styles on sale! I’m especially pumped that boot cut jeans are back. The ones that I linked below look so flattering!
9. Jewelry
These CZ diamond earrings are gorgeous! The ring looks similar to the David Yurman one for a fraction of the price. Plus, there are some great necklaces that would make awesome gifts! I mean, Christmas🎄 isn’t THAT far way….just sayin’!😆
10. Underwear / Shapewear / Bras
It’s this stuff that no one reallyyyy wants to spend money on, so while there are tons of underwear items on sale, now is the time to buy! Natori bras are super comfortable and I just picked up some of the Spanx no-show undies. We’ll see how they are – I will report back!
11. Cardigans
If you haven’t tried Barefoot Dreams cardigans, then you are missing out on lounging in pure heavenly plush comfort! So cozy!
And I saw this striped Madewell cardigan in store and the colors are much better in person. It’s super cute – I was very close to buying it! I’ve also linked a classic long J.Crew grey cardigan that would go with just about anything and everything in the cooler months.
12. Boots & Booties
I have a similar pair of these black boots from Steve Madden and they are super versatile. Perfect with skinny jeans or dresses with tights.
I also linked some Tims with red laces that are totally giving me 2002 vibes when every girl had similar style boots with colored laces from American Eagle!🥴 lol I love them though! They look so comfortable and the red laces feel very holiday.
I also got a similar pair of black Sperry boots last winter and they are awesome. Waterproof and the no laces make slipping them on a breeze!
13. Outerwear
This houndstooth jacket is adorable! It’s a nice change from basic black jackets and solid colored clothing.
And I’m loving this soft pink color of this North Face rain long rain jacket! I
also saw the Thread & Supply green colored jacket in store and loved it. Looks cuter in person and is not at all bulky. Perfect seasonal transition coat!
14. Beauty Kits
This is a great time to snap up a brow kit and I used Revitalash a few years ago and really liked it. It definitely works and conditions your lashes so that they are healthier and longer.
15. Skincare Essentials!
Ok, if you wear eye make-up regularly, then I cannot recommend Lancome’s eye make-up remover enough! It’s gentle and very effective. Last year this sold out because it’s that good and this is a great deal to get two full-size bottles and one travel size!
16. Haircare
This set from Oribe features a dry shampoo and texturing spray. I own the texturing spray and it works well, but the best part is the scent. It smells sooo good and that alone would make me want to get this set. Certain brands of dry shampoo smell awful, but not this one!
This brush set from T3 looks great. The white and rose gold colored accents look sleek and would be the perfect hair set upgrade to have in your bathroom!
I’ve also linked shampoo, conditioner, and hair styler kits from Living Proof and Morocconoil! These are great because the extra large bottles will last you a long time!
Whew! That was a lot to get through!🙂
The tricky part with the sale is that sooo many things sell out quickly! So if you like something or think you might like something, it’s best to just order it now.💳 You can always return and returns are free through the mail or you can always pop into the store.
Let me know if you will be shopping the sale and what you have your eye on!

And to kick off the week, I’m sharing a casual summertime outfit!
One of my favorite summertime looks is a mostly all white ensemble! I love to wear white in the summer since it looks great on tanned skin! And although I haven’t gotten a real deep dark tan in years, it still also looks great with my faux tanned skin thanks to Tarte’s 24 hour Express Brazilliance tanning mousse! Love that stuff – it’s an easy application and it’s pretty dark for a self tanner. 👍
Today’s look is a casual mix of athleisure, which I am all about these days! I don’t work in an office anymore so this look is about as fancy as I’m gonna get unless I really have some where to be, which is a rarity now. 😷
My sneakers were a birthday treat (to me, from me 💁🏻♀️)because Nike.com gives you 25% off for your bday! 🎂
I love the faded rainbow stripes and the vintage Nike logo on this tee! 🌈
Then I simply added a white hat with the Red Sox logo since I’m from MA and we all know Boston is the best! 😉
I love these sneakers 👟 because they have a sight platform bottom and this particular pair is white with an iridescent swoosh – which is extra cute! 🌈
This pair sold out quick on the Nike website, but they are in stock in a few sizes at some other retailers like Dick’s and Nordstrom. And Nike.com also has this super cute pair in stock:
Iridescent swoosh with a pale pink sneaker! 😍
You can shop this post below!
The top is in stock at Nike.com and on sale for $29! It’s also available at Nordstrom.com but I did notice that sizes are going fast!
I hope everyone has a great day!
I’ll be back with a lifestyle post later in the week sharing some book reviews!
I’ll also be diving into the Nordstrom Anniversary sale soon with going over how it works (it’s a little different and kind of confusing this year 🤯) and my top sale picks!
Lately, I’ve been loving Gap’s activewear line. With the quarantine going on and being stuck mostly at home, I’ve found myself reaching for more and more yoga and loungewear type clothing and way less jeans and anything restrictive!
I found that I was going through all my loungewear much quicker than usual and ordered a couple of new items from Gap. I’ve liked their compression leggings for a while now, but I also ordered some tees and tanks from their Breathe line.
And I’m happy to report that I’ve been really impressed with the quality of all the items that I’ve purchased!
The Breathe tees are all super soft, lightweight, and (duh) breathable! I especially love the tunic length ones for the bum coverage!
These sports bras are perfect for just lounging around the house. And they are also great for a quick yoga session or low-impact walk. They are so comfortable that I’ve since ordered these two more times!
Every pair of compression leggings that I own from Gap have held up through many washes! Just be sure to machine wash cold and air dry. The camo print and black camo print are two of my current favorites! The black camo print are especially good for the warmer weather since they are the 7/8 length.
Also perfect for the summer are these open-back tank tops. They help to keep you cool and I really like them for going on runs lately!
And lastly, these baseball hats come in a ton of colors and are perfect for when you just want a hat and aren’t into wearing a logo on it. The pale pink is a great color and the back is adjustable!
I definitely recommend looking at Gap.com if you need any new active or loungewear! Shop all items from Gap in the widget below!

One good thing about this quarantine has been the sheer amount of sales and markdowns on all items. But Target has even better deals happening this week! And check your Target app! The Target Circle app just provides all kinds of great deals – you do not need a Target Red Card (credit or debit card) to get savings from the Circle app!

Today I’m sharing the last installment of my three-part mini series featuring different holiday looks!
Today’s look is focused on being both modern and polished. It features a sequin top for a sparkle of fun paired with a velvet skirt for a modern take on the classic pencil skirt style.
Then I added some fun bedazzled hair clips to up the glam factor! Carry all of your essentials in a sleek faux snakeskin clutch and use the red card case for a holiday pop of color.
Throw on some black suede mules with an on-trend translucent strap to look your most polished self at your favorite holiday party!
That’s it for today! I really love all of these holiday looks and I hope you did too! Let me know which one was your favorite in the comments!
I think this will most likely be my last post until next year. I’m planning on taking some time off to spend time with family and just recharge and reevaluate what direction I want my blog to go in.
Thank you so much for reading all year long! I will still be active on social media so be sure to follow me on Instagram, Facebook, & Twitter!
I’m back today with the second installment of festive holiday outfit ideas!
Today’s outfit is all about comfort, because there’s nothing worse than feeling like a stuffed sausage at a holiday party! Sure, certain parties call for tight clothing and you’re willing to suck it up and not eat much for the night for the sake of looking extra good. But there is a time and place for that and other parties or family gatherings where everyone knows the real you require less effort. You want to look cute, but be comfortable at the same time.
So for a look that says “casual, but not a total slob” 😄 I have turned to the sweater dress as my base. Sweater dresses are cozy, yet it’s a dress so it’s dressier (I mean, obvi😆) and it’s comfy! Plus, they are a little loose in the belly region making it much easier to chow down on all your holiday favorite foods without worrying about whether anyone is wondering if you’re newly pregnant or just have a food baby!
Add some cute boots and festive holiday accessories to your sweater dress and you’ve got yourself the perfect casual holiday outfit!
Now, go enjoy yourself and have a second glass of spiked eggnog – you know you want to!🎄
Life’s been so hectic lately that I haven’t been able to post nearly as much as I would like. But with the holidays in full swing, this week I will be posting three different stylish and festive looks to help you look and feel your best at any party or family gathering!
Today’s look is all about sequins and adding a splash of bling wherever you go! The holidays are really a time to shine and bust out whatever sparkly/glittery items you own and pile them on. ‘Tis the season to be extra!! Less is more is not the rule of thumb this season – it’s more is more!✨ 🤗
So throw on your best sequin jumpsuit & heels and let’s party!
