Hi Y’all!
I haven’t posted much this week because I actually picked up an extra day of work. I am happy about this, but it means that I need to find some other time to blog! I’m still trying to figure that out, but today I am posting since it’s Friday AND it’s 6.21 – aka the First Day of Summer & National Stripes Day!
Stripes are such a classic print and they are especially fun to wear in the summer since they give that nautical chic vibe! To help celebrate this fun, fashionable holiday, I am sharing some of my favorited striped pieces as of late from around the interwebs!
Ahhh the classic t-shirt dress! I have a love/hate relationship with these types of dresses. In general, I love the concept and I like how they look on a hanger. Then I try it on and I feel like I’m wearing a potato sack. 🙁 BUT who really cares when it’s 90° and you just wanna throw something on over your bathing suit!? These are great for beach days and sometimes for work days( if your office is casual enough) and you can throw a little jacket on over it!
A striped one is better than just a solid printed t-shirt dress because it looks a little more stylish. The one I’ve linked is from J.Crew Factory and it’s less than $20! For that price, it’s definitely an item worth adding to your summer wardrobe!
If I want a striped tee, but something different than your run-of-the-mill blue and white striped, then I head over to Madewell. They always have a good selection of vibrant striped tees like this one, which to me, looks like summer in the form of a t-shirt.
3. Tory Burch Frieda Espadrille Platform Sandal
Espadrilles are my favorite footwear in the summer. They are typically comfortable (thanks to the platform) and it’s a breeze to clomp around in 3-4 inch heels! 4. Bow Slides
A cute, flat sandal in the summer is really a must-have item and these are only $22.99! Target is also offering Buy 1, Get 1 50% off through tomorrow, 6/22!
This striped blazer is only $26 from Shein. It looks perfect for throwing on at work and managing to look both professional & stylish at the same time!
6. Tote Bag
I really cannot say enough good things about these MZ Wallace totes. I want one in literally every color. They are soooo lightweight, easily packable and just perfect! This latest striped one is adorable! If only they were $25 each, instead of $225…
Madewell has this print offered in a few styles this season, but I’m really loving it in this button-down shirt. It looks easy to dress up or down and the mix of striped colors makes for a cheery summer look!
This pouch is perfect for just carrying your essentials to the beach or the pool. Or if you are like me and are someone who typically carries their life around with them, then you need a lot of pouches. I normally carry a big bag filled with different size pouches to make it easier to find all of my items. When the seasons change, I try to coordinate my pouches to look seasonally appropriate, so this rainbow striped one would be the perfect for the summer!
9. Pajamas
I don’t know about you, but I never wear actual pajamas. I always wear old t-shirts and some old shorts to bed, BUT I loooove the look of cutesy matching pajamas sets like this one!
10. Pants
Everyone tries to cram in all things summery into the few months that it’s hot, and that includes cramming in only-appropriate-to-wear-in-the-summertime clothing. Linen pants are definitely in that category and these striped ones look perfect for wearing at night after a long day at the beach!
